Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first pulled up to the attimo Hotel Stuttgart on Wildunger Straße, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Bad Cannstatt, which honestly most tourists skip right over on their way to Stuttgart’s main attractions. But you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages.

The thing about this place is that it sits in this really authentic part of the city where you’ll hear more Swabian dialect than English, and there’s something genuinely refreshing about that. Bad Cannstatt has this lived-in feel – you’ve got the mineral baths nearby (the area’s famous for its springs, though the hotel staff will tell you all about that), and you’re actually closer to the Neckar River than you’d think. The 7.2 rating makes sense once you settle in; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare like it can be in Stuttgart proper, and the rooms have that clean, functional vibe that German hotels do really well.

What I appreciated most was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, they didn’t just point me toward the tourist shuttle – they mentioned the local bus route that runs right from nearby, and honestly, it was faster than I expected. The breakfast room gets busy around 8 AM (all the business travelers, I think), but if you’re more of a leisurely morning person, going around 9:30 gives you more space and the coffee’s still fresh. The rooms are quiet enough, though you’ll occasionally hear the trams – but that’s just Stuttgart for you, and it actually becomes kind of comforting after a night or two. I mean, there are fancier places if you want to drop serious money, but for a solid three-star that doesn’t feel like every other chain hotel, attimo delivers on that promise. Plus, being in Bad Cannstatt means you’re getting a slice of real Stuttgart life instead of just the sanitized city center experience.

  What could be improved: I didn't see in the description that doesn't have air condition. The weather was hot,it was hard to breathe. It's my fault 🤷‍♂️

  Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful and speak English. Location was good for attending an event at Stuttgart Arena.
  
  What could be improved: There is a smoking bar next to/below the hotel that stays open until 3am and 5 am on Saturday night/Sunday morning. If you have the windows open the noise will keep you up. Not the hotel’s fault but a problem in the summer. With the window closed you don’t hear any of it.

  clean rooms, friendly reception, easy, integrated parking: the area can be slightly 'lively' on occasion but nobody bothers you unduly.
  
  What could be improved: series of post-booking emails saying that they don't man the reception after 18:00 were a bit of an annoyance.

  What could be improved: called me mid-afternoon with the news that they close the reception at 6pm, and would I mind driving at 300km/h to get there at their convenience? Seriously!! I said I had stayed with them about 20 times in the last decade and the staff member said "yes well I will have to check that" – so THEY call ME and suddenly I am the faker! Told them to Foxtrot Oscar and booked somewhere else. Still got charged for the room. Dreadful behaviour.
