Hotel Description
First Impressions
Walking up to the Bavaria Hotel Münchner Hof Superior, you immediately get that feeling of stumbling onto something locals have been quietly enjoying for years. It’s tucked into Stuttgart-Ost in a way that feels intentional — not flashy, but definitely more polished than your average three-star spot. The building has this understated German charm that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly makes it more appealing. You know what I mean? Sometimes the best places are the ones that let their quality speak for itself rather than shouting about it from the street.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Stuttgart-Ost — it’s where you want to be if you actually want to experience the city rather than just pass through it. The hotel sits on Neckarstraße, and I’ve got to say, couples seem to have figured this out (they consistently rate the location over 8 out of 10). You’re close enough to the action but far enough from the tourist crowds that clog up the city center. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with local cafes and shops that don’t feel like they exist solely for visitors. Getting around is straightforward too — the public transport connections mean you can reach Stuttgart’s main attractions without that exhausting trek back to your room at the end of the day.
The Rooms
The “Superior” in the name isn’t just marketing fluff — the rooms actually deliver on that promise. They’ve managed to strike this balance between modern comfort and that distinctly German attention to detail that makes everything feel solid and well-thought-out. The spaces aren’t huge, but they’re efficiently designed in a way that makes you wonder why other hotels waste so much square footage on awkward corners and dead space. Everything works the way it should, from the lighting to the bathroom setup, and there’s enough character in the furnishings to remind you that you’re not in some cookie-cutter chain property.
Breakfast Experience
The buffet breakfast here is one of those pleasant surprises that sets the tone for your entire day. It’s comprehensive without being overwhelming — you know how some hotel buffets make you feel like you need a strategy just to navigate them? This isn’t that. They’ve got the German breakfast staples covered, plus enough variety to keep things interesting if you’re staying multiple nights. The quality is consistently good, and the setup flows naturally so you’re not bumping into other guests or waiting around for the coffee machine. I mean, it sounds simple, but you’d be amazed how many places get this basic hospitality wrong.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes the Bavaria Hotel Münchner Hof Superior work is how it delivers on the fundamentals without any unnecessary complications. Recent guests have been rating the location at 8.6, and that’s not just about proximity to attractions — it’s about feeling like you’re staying somewhere that makes sense. The three-star rating feels honest rather than modest, and there’s something refreshing about a place that knows exactly what it is and executes it well. You’ll leave feeling like you got genuine value rather than just paying for a bed and hoping for the best.
Best hotels in Stuttgart range from charming boutique properties in the historic city center to elegant modern hotels with stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and Swabian landscape.

Wonderful – Magdalena from Poland – December 29, 2024 (9/10)
Very clean
What could be improved: No parkingGreat staff and hotel. Not as convenient as I thought it would be from the booking. – Theodore from United States – December 9, 2024 (8/10)
The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great.
What could be improved: For someone not too familiar with the train/subway system in Germany, it was VERY hard to find. We were ok once we got it "down", but was confusing with lots of streets and sidewalks to cross to find the property.Comfortable, clean, spacious. – Alexandra from New Zealand – September 23, 2024 (9/10)
Spacious comfortable room for a reasonable price. We were very happy here. Easy access to transport. Great burger bar up the road.
What could be improved: NothingVery Good – Mihaela from Romania – July 25, 2024 (8/10)
30 min from train station.
What could be improved: They block on your card the price of the room when you book the room and then you check in you pay again the price of the room. So on your card you have the room paid twice for 10-12 days!!!This was a beautifully kept locally owned hotel with friendly staff and a hearty breakfast. – Paic from United States – July 12, 2024 (8/10)
The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning was a welcome commodity after a long hike in the heat. Breakfast was healthy and delicious – a classic German spread- complete with coffee. The owner was gracious with our weak German language, happy to speak English, and was enjoyable to talk to. He also went out of his way to catch us when one of our cohort left some luggage.
What could be improved: The bathroom shower is difficult to use if you are tall and don't want to spray water everywhere.Overall very satisfying – Gerard from United Kingdom – June 26, 2024 (9/10)
Very clean and helpful staff
Would definitely return and recommend yo friends. – Fei from United States – May 2, 2024 (9/10)

Oldish but clean and central, with good breakfast – Ioan from Romania – March 24, 2024 (8/10)
Pretty oldish, but place is clean, breakfast is rich, position is 3 U-Bahn stations away from city center
What could be improved: Pretty old, hopefully it will be renovated sometimeGreat value for money. – Matthew from United Kingdom – February 18, 2024 (8/10)
