Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about B&B Hotel Stuttgart-Neckarhafen? The name sounds way fancier than what you actually get – and I mean that in the best possible way. This isn’t some pretentious place trying to be something it’s not. It’s just a solid, no-nonsense hotel that happens to sit in one of Stuttgart’s more interesting neighborhoods, Wangen, where you’ll actually see how locals live instead of just tourist traps.

The location on Hedelfinger Straße is honestly pretty smart if you know the area. You’re close enough to the Neckar River that you can walk down there in the evening (which I’d recommend – it’s surprisingly peaceful), but you’re not paying the premium you’d get closer to the city center. The trade-off is you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the S-Bahn system, though honestly, Stuttgart’s public transport is reliable enough that it becomes second nature after a day or two. Parking was straightforward when I was there, which – let’s be real – is half the battle in any German city.

What I actually appreciated most was how the staff seemed to get that most guests are either business travelers or people like me who wanted a clean, comfortable base without all the fuss. Check-in was efficient, the rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a modern 3-star – clean lines, decent bed, good shower pressure (seriously underrated when you’re traveling). The breakfast setup was simple but covered all the essentials, and they didn’t try to overcomplicate things with some elaborate buffet that just ends up being wasteful. I mean, you’re getting proper German bread and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours, which honestly covers most of my morning requirements. The whole place has this practical, unfussy vibe that I found refreshing after staying in hotels that spend more energy on looking Instagram-worthy than actually being comfortable. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and turndown service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a place where you can drop your bags, get a good night’s sleep, and wake up ready to explore Stuttgart without your wallet taking a beating, it’s pretty much perfect for that.

    Decent breakfast

  • Good clean hotel for a stopover – Andrey from Germany – May 15, 2025 (8/10)

Modern clean hotel for a stopover.

What could be improved: In a busy spot next to the gas station as well as truck parking.

  • Wonderful – Vasilev from Bulgaria – March 30, 2025 (9/10)

Nice hotel and staff. U-bahn stop nearby so convenient connection to the city center. Nice breakfast, boiled eggs were the only warm part, no scrambled eggs or warm sausages.

  • Nice place for one night's stay. – N from United Kingdom – February 8, 2025 (9/10)

  • We had a good stay for the short time we were there. The staff were fantastic – Linda from Canada – October 18, 2024 (8/10)

It was convenient for where we were going. The staff were amazing!

What could be improved: It was minimalist

  • sufficient – Ender from Turkey – September 23, 2024 (9/10)

A clean and comfortable hotel. I didn't take breakfast because the breakfast was quite poor. It is in the suburban part of the city, but there is no transportation problem. Especially the female staff at the reception was extremely polite and helpful.

What could be improved: Due to the work on the metro line, transportation is done with transfers. Unfortunately, bad luck will continue for a while. This is not something the hotel has, but it is useful for those who will stay to know.

  • Great for a short stay in town or on the road – Jens from Germany – August 22, 2024 (9/10)

There is a fast charger around the corner, rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly

What could be improved: The free parking was occupied, so we had to park for 5 Euro on the parking lot nearby – which is still a good fallback option!

  • Very Good – Hilmar from Germany – August 7, 2024 (8/10)

Room was clean and comfortable for one or two nights okay.

What could be improved: Environment was quite noisy. One side are two large gas stations. The other side was a noisy fan from an air-condition and building side.
