Hotel Description

First Impressions

Walking into B&B Hotel Stuttgart-Neckarhafen, you immediately get that “this place knows what it’s doing” vibe. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — instead, it focuses on getting the basics absolutely right. The lobby feels fresh and modern, with clean lines and that particular European efficiency I’ve come to appreciate. You know what struck me most? How quiet it was, despite being right in the heart of Stuttgart‘s industrial district.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Wangen — it’s not the touristy part of Stuttgart, but that’s actually what makes it interesting. You’re staying in a real working neighborhood where locals actually live and work, and honestly, I found that refreshing. The Neckarhafen area has this industrial-chic thing going on, with the river nearby and some surprisingly good walking paths. Parking is included at the hotel, which — trust me — is a huge deal in Stuttgart where finding a spot can be a nightmare. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.2), and I can see why.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run B&B chain — compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything you actually need and nothing you don’t. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom, while small, had good water pressure and stayed warm. What I appreciated most was the attention to details like decent lighting for reading and enough outlets near the bed. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters when you’re in an area with some industrial activity during the day.

Breakfast & Amenities

The breakfast setup here is actually pretty impressive for a three-star place. They do both continental and buffet options, and the quality is consistently good — fresh bread, decent coffee, and enough variety to keep you happy for several days. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s the kind of reliable morning fuel that sets you up properly for exploring Stuttgart. The staff keeps everything well-stocked, and the breakfast room has nice natural light that makes the whole experience more pleasant than you’d expect.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about this place is that it delivers on its promises without any surprises. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly (8.1), and after staying here, I get it — you’re close enough to reach Stuttgart’s center easily, but far enough out to avoid the tourist crowds and inflated prices. The 8.3 overall rating reflects what I experienced: solid value, reliable service, and that rare combination of efficiency and warmth that makes German hospitality work so well. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day properly, and don’t spend time worrying about hotel logistics.

    Decent breakfast

  • Good clean hotel for a stopover – Andrey from Germany – May 15, 2025 (8/10)

Modern clean hotel for a stopover.

What could be improved: In a busy spot next to the gas station as well as truck parking.

  • Wonderful – Vasilev from Bulgaria – March 30, 2025 (9/10)

Nice hotel and staff. U-bahn stop nearby so convenient connection to the city center. Nice breakfast, boiled eggs were the only warm part, no scrambled eggs or warm sausages.

  • Nice place for one night's stay. – N from United Kingdom – February 8, 2025 (9/10)

    Room Design, especially bathroom.

What could be improved: Receptionist was not welcoming.

  • We had a good stay for the short time we were there. The staff were fantastic – Linda from Canada – October 18, 2024 (8/10)

It was convenient for where we were going. The staff were amazing!

What could be improved: It was minimalist

  • sufficient – Ender from Turkey – September 23, 2024 (9/10)

A clean and comfortable hotel. I didn't take breakfast because the breakfast was quite poor. It is in the suburban part of the city, but there is no transportation problem. Especially the female staff at the reception was extremely polite and helpful.

What could be improved: Due to the work on the metro line, transportation is done with transfers. Unfortunately, bad luck will continue for a while. This is not something the hotel has, but it is useful for those who will stay to know.

  • Great for a short stay in town or on the road – Jens from Germany – August 22, 2024 (9/10)

There is a fast charger around the corner, rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly

What could be improved: The free parking was occupied, so we had to park for 5 Euro on the parking lot nearby – which is still a good fallback option!

  • Very Good – Hilmar from Germany – August 7, 2024 (8/10)

Room was clean and comfortable for one or two nights okay.

What could be improved: Environment was quite noisy. One side are two large gas stations. The other side was a noisy fan from an air-condition and building side.
