You know what caught me off guard about CityHotel Feuerbach? It’s actually got this quiet, residential vibe that you don’t expect when you’re staying in Stuttgart. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place with a solid 7.3 rating, but honestly – sometimes those mid-range spots surprise you in the best ways.

The thing about staying on Grazer Straße is that you’re really living like a local here in Feuerbach. This isn’t some touristy district where you’re fighting crowds to get coffee in the morning. Instead, you’ve got authentic German bakeries within walking distance (there’s this one around the corner that does incredible pretzels, by the way), and the whole neighborhood has that lived-in feel where people actually, you know, live and work. The hotel itself sits pretty quietly on the street – no flashy signs or tourist buses idling outside. Check-in was straightforward, nothing fancy but the staff seemed to know their stuff about getting around the city.

What I really appreciated was how the place handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Parking isn’t a nightmare like it can be in central Stuttgart, and honestly, that matters when you’re dealing with German city driving. The rooms are clean and functional – not Instagram-worthy or anything, but you’re not going to find any unpleasant surprises either. I slept well, which tells you something about both the beds and the noise levels. Feuerbach can get busy during the day with commuter traffic, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. The real advantage here is the S-Bahn connection – you can get to Stuttgart’s main station or the city center without dealing with parking downtown, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Stuttgart’s one-way streets will tell you is worth its weight in gold. Look, if you’re expecting luxury or some boutique experience, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a solid base for exploring Stuttgart without paying city-center prices, and you don’t mind being in a real neighborhood instead of a hotel district, CityHotel Feuerbach does exactly what it says on the tin.

  The hotel is very clean and provides body wash and cream as well as towels in the room, they are also trying to be environmentally friendly which we enjoyed. The room we stayed in had a big window great for airing out the room, but also floor-length curtains for privacy and blocking out light from the street.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel is situated in a busy part of the town, which is nice from tourist point of view, but it also means that there is a lot of noise from the street below even at night.

  Good location: cafe, restaurant, supermarket, parking – everything is in close proximity.
  
  What could be improved: Everything in the room was a bit "too used". The refrigerator was in a very unexpected place: "hanging" in the wardrobe and due to the lack of sufficient lighting, it was only found the next morning.
