The moment I walked into this apartment on Hohentwielstraße, it actually felt like someone’s home – not some sterile hotel room with those weird abstract paintings and furniture that nobody would actually choose. The whole setup is refreshingly modern without trying too hard, if that makes sense. I mean, when you’re staying in Stuttgart-Süd, you want something that feels authentic to the neighborhood, and this place nails it.

The location is honestly perfect for exploring the real Stuttgart. Hohentwielstraße isn’t one of those touristy streets where everything’s overpriced – it’s where actual locals live, which means you’re walking distance from proper German bakeries (there’s this incredible one just two blocks down that opens ridiculously early) and neighborhood spots that don’t feel like they’re performing for visitors. The apartment itself is what Germans do best – thoughtfully designed without unnecessary frills. Everything works exactly as it should, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like so many places, and there’s actual counter space in the kitchen. Small thing, but you appreciate it when you’re trying to make coffee at 7 AM.

What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night, despite being in the city. Stuttgart-Süd has this perfect balance – you’re connected to everything but you’re not dealing with trams rumbling past your window until midnight. The host clearly knows what travelers actually need because there were adapters already plugged in, extra towels without asking, and – this is going to sound silly – really good shower pressure. After a day of walking around Stuttgart’s hills (and trust me, there are more hills than you expect), that matters more than fancy lobby art. The whole experience felt effortless in a way that’s surprisingly rare. Sometimes the best places are the ones that just work without making a big deal about it, and this apartment gets that completely.

  The room is spacious. The kitchen has an electric stove, oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator, and various kitchen utensils and seasonings. You can cook very well. Nice bathroom and suitable for long-term living.
