Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at CLOUD No7 on Wolframstrasse a couple times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets apartment-style hospitality right. The building sits on this quiet residential street in Stuttgart-Mitte – you know, the kind where you hear more footsteps than car engines – but you’re still maybe a seven-minute walk from the main shopping drag on Königstrasse.
What I actually love about this place is how they’ve done the apartments themselves. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show like at some places – I mean, you’ve got proper counter space and a full-size fridge, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights or dealing with weird meal times (hello, jetlag). The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice flat than staying in a hotel. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, with this rainfall shower that actually has decent pressure – small thing, but you notice it after a long day walking around the city. One tiny gripe: the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some of the units facing the courtyard, but it’s generally fine for work calls and streaming.
The neighborhood is pretty perfect for getting a feel for actual Stuttgart life. There’s this great bakery – Bäckerei Schmid – literally two blocks down that locals hit up every morning around 7:30, and if you walk about ten minutes toward the center, you’ll hit Marienplatz where the Saturday market happens. Parking can be tricky on the street (it’s mostly resident permits), but there’s a public garage on Gymnasiumstrasse that’s not too expensive. The staff here actually knows this stuff and will point you in the right direction instead of just shrugging like at bigger hotels. Check-in was smooth both times I stayed – they’re flexible about timing if you message ahead, which is nice when you’re dealing with train delays or early flights. It’s definitely quieter than staying right in the thick of things, but that’s kind of the point. You get the residential Stuttgart experience while still being close enough to walk to restaurants and museums when you want some action.

What could be improved: Need more towel hooks in the bathroomsVery Good – Duncan from United Kingdom – April 9, 2025 (8/10)
Lovely apartment
What could be improved: Confusing check in
Lift is over automated so can take ages if someone is using one of the lifts alreadyGreat view and location of Cloud No. 7 Apartment – Man from Hong Kong – March 11, 2025 (8/10)
It was a pleasant stay at Cloud No. 7 Apartment with all the things that I need, including modernized design of the room, a cozy work station and sofa. A small kitchen, great for reheating restaurant takeout or leftovers, is included in the apartment.
What could be improved: The balcony is connected with the room next door. When checking in, the office is not located at the Cloud No. 7 Hotel.Wonderful – Alexander from Czech Republic – February 25, 2025 (9/10)
Spacious, comfortable, nice kitchen, fast internet. Quiter than one would expect from the location above one of the busiest streets in the city. The location is awful (and will remain like that until they complete the railway station sometime in 2030) but my office is across the street so it is perfect.
What could be improved: Constant renovation. I visited Cloud 7 a year ago and I had a feeling that some flats around were being repaired. A year later another floor and it is the same. The usability design of the property is a nightmare. The elevator with no visible area for cards to be placed (it is on the bottom side of the protruded display, surprise! One needs to crouch to find it). There is no indication if the elevator is going to you or stopped elsewhere. The giant glass door to the bathroom is not moving (otherwise you would definitely break it with the bedroom door handle, someone already did). Power outlets are hidden so it is hard to find any to charge your phone or laptop. Bedroom lamp with a switch constantly shining blue (no, you cannot cover it, this will switch the lamp on).Would definitely stay again! – Leah-mei from United Kingdom – December 20, 2024 (9/10)
The room was very lovely and luxurious, we even got a free room upgrade! We only stayed 2 nights so we didn’t use the kitchen area but many facilities to meet all your needs, would be great for a longer stay also.
What could be improved: No staff onsite on weekends.Great Stay! – Tommy from Germany – August 14, 2024 (8/10)
Friendly staff, clean and sweet room. Everything without problems.
What could be improved: Sleeping room without TVWonderful – Darja from Estonia – July 14, 2024 (9/10)
Perfect location, beautiful view from the terrace. Fully stuffed kitchen, bathroom and the room. The apartment is suitable for both – short and long term staying. It will definitely suit for those who prefer freedom and independence, and appreciate quite environment and privacy.
