Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Ferienwohnung West? It’s tucked into this residential stretch of Bebelstraße that actually feels like you’re living in Stuttgart rather than just passing through. I mean, the building itself is pretty typical for Stuttgart-West – solid, no-frills German architecture – but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that isn’t trying too hard to impress tourists.

The apartment itself is honestly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star setup, but it’s the little things that work in its favor. The windows are properly double-glazed (thank god, because Stuttgart can get surprisingly noisy), and whoever set up the kitchen actually thought about what people need – like decent knives and more than two plates. The Wi-Fi didn’t cut out on me once, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed. What really sold me was the location though – you’re a quick walk from Schwabstraße where all the good cafés are, and the U-Bahn connection is close enough that you’re not dragging your luggage for blocks. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the street has actual life to it. You’ll hear neighbors coming and going, kids playing in the courtyard sometimes, the occasional delivery truck in the morning. It feels real, you know?

Honestly, the 8.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or concierge service, but it does what it promises without any nasty surprises. The check-in was straightforward – no fumbling around with complicated key systems or confusing instructions. I stayed there during shoulder season and it was properly quiet at night, though I imagine it might get a bit livelier when the university students are around (Stuttgart-West has that kind of energy). The only minor gripe I had was that the shower pressure was just okay – not terrible, but not great either. Still, for the price point and the neighborhood, I’d definitely book it again. Sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t feel like every other hotel room you’ve ever stayed in, and this place delivers on that front.

  Very important!! => Payment is done directly to the host, not via Booking, initially we were afraid it might be a scam, we called booking and they said that they are partnering with this host for almost 2 years now and indeed, we did direct IBAN transfer to the host and everything was as expected.
  
  Property was located in a very nice area, lots of shops and places to visit.
  Very good restaurants nearby and well connected with S-Bahn.

  The location is very quite despite being 5 mins from train station. Supermarket and pharmacy are right across the road. Facilities were worn out a bit but they are all functional well, you have everything for long stay.

  Great location with super access to public transport. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the correspondence from the host to make sure we could access the property easily.

  Great location and very nice old style apartment, very good renovated. It was calm and there was a TV with Netflix. Very easy to reach with public transportation and a very nice bakery near by. The explanation to reach the apartment were really clear and precise.
  
  What could be improved: The wifi was working good in one room, in the kitchen and in the corridor. In the rest of the apartment was not working properly.
