You know what surprised me about the Hampton by Hilton on Wolframstrasse? It actually feels like a neighborhood hotel rather than one of those sterile business chain places. I mean, sure, it’s got that familiar Hampton look when you walk in, but there’s something different about the energy here – maybe it’s because you’re right in Stuttgart-Mitte where actual locals are going about their day instead of just shuffling between tourist spots.

The location is honestly pretty brilliant if you know Stuttgart at all. You’re basically a five-minute walk from Königstrasse (which gets absolutely packed on Saturdays, fair warning), but Wolframstrasse itself is this quieter side street where you can actually think. I stayed there during a trade fair week – Stuttgart gets crazy busy during those times – and while other hotels were charging ridiculous rates, this place kept things reasonable. The rooms are what you’d expect from Hampton, nothing fancy but everything works. Clean, decent-sized shower, and the beds are actually comfortable, not those weird firm European mattresses that feel like sleeping on cardboard. The breakfast spread is solid too, though it gets pretty hectic between 7:30 and 8:30 when all the business travelers are trying to get out the door.

Here’s the thing though – and this is why I’d stay here again – the staff actually knows the area. When I asked about getting to Bad Cannstatt for a meeting, the front desk guy didn’t just point me to a taxi app. He walked me through the S-Bahn connections and mentioned which car to get on so I’d be closest to the exit at my stop. That kind of local knowledge makes a difference. The neighborhood around the hotel has this nice mix of cafés and small shops, nothing too touristy but plenty of options if you want to grab dinner somewhere other than the hotel bar. There’s this Turkish place two blocks down that stays open late – came in handy when I got back from meetings around 9 PM and everything else was closing. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (the hotel garage is there but it’s not huge), and honestly, you don’t really need a car if you’re planning to stick around the city center anyway. The public transport connections are solid, and you can walk to most of the main sights if you don’t mind a 15-20 minute stroll. I’d definitely book this place again, especially if I’m in town for business or just want to be somewhere central without paying those premium rates you get closer to the Hauptbahnhof.

  It was clean, next to the stadtbibliothek and close to the U bahn station.

  What could be improved: Staff did not inform me firstly about the the particularity of the elevator which requires to lean the key-room card to its button board inside the cabine in order to get the target floor. Otherwise the elevator does not go.

  A short walk from the main train station and a public transport stop right next to the hotel. The facility was neat and clean. The room was clean with a comfortable temperature setting available. Breakfast was great – much more than a standard European breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.
  
  What could be improved: The room was cramped for three people and the sleeper couch not as comfortable. But still not the worst ever.

  This facility is within walking distance to main railway station and if with luggage then it is just 3 stations from Charlotteplatz or a single station from HBF. The U-Bahn station is right in front of the hotel and getting off the train and into the hotel takes about 1 min. Milaneo mall right next to it had a selection of shops for our needs and nice restaurants around the Square where the hotel is located. Hotel is new, peaceful and clean. Breakfast is simple but quite satisfactory. A special mention for the wonderful staff. Manager Mr. Yasin was very polite and Ms. Mona at the reception was professional, warm with a can-do attitude. She deserves the biggest praise in our Hampton experience.
  
  What could be improved: A small fridge in the room would be great. We were there when Germany was sizzling hot and cold drinks even late at night were welcome.

  What could be improved: The hotel parking space was full even though the entrance sign showed us there is the space. As parking was very narrow it was hard to get it out.
