Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Hansa Stuttgart City? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing. Tucked away on Silberburgstraße in Stuttgart-West, this 3-star spot sits in what I’d call the “real” part of the city, where you’ll find actual locals grabbing coffee instead of just tourists with guidebooks. The building itself has that solid German functionality thing going on – nothing flashy, but you get the sense it’ll be standing here long after trendier places have closed down.

The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your front door onto Königstraße (Stuttgart’s main shopping drag), but that means you’re away from the late-night crowds and tourist chaos. I mean, you can still walk to the city center in about 15 minutes, or hop on the U-Bahn – there’s a station close enough that you won’t be dragging your suitcase for blocks. What I really liked was how the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings with little restaurants and cafés that feel genuinely local. You’ll hear more German than English, which – let’s be honest – is what you want when you’re trying to get a feel for a place.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, functional, with that European efficiency where everything has its place. Don’t expect huge American-style bathrooms or 47 pillows on the bed, but the Wi-Fi actually works (miracle!), and the beds are comfortable enough that I wasn’t tossing around all night. The staff has that straightforward German approach – they’re helpful without being overly chatty, which some people love and others find a bit formal. Parking can be a bit of a dance if you’re driving, but that’s Stuttgart for you – it’s not exactly built for cars everywhere. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re the type who wants to explore Stuttgart like someone who actually lives there, rather than staying in some generic business hotel that could be anywhere, this place gives you that authentic German city experience without breaking the bank.

Reviews

  • Very Good – Frelek from Netherlands – July 31, 2025 (8/10)

    The staff was amazing

  • Good place – Alexander from Austria – July 27, 2025 (8/10)

Bed was very comfy, room was clean

What could be improved: The toilet door was not lockable; seemingly, someone forgot to install a lock on one side of the door. The room lock knob itself also fell out a few times. The shower door doesn't open all the way either, at least in the room we had, which was all the way down the hall. All nitpicks and small, but still things I thought should be mentioned

  • Very Good – Elisha from United Kingdom – July 25, 2025 (8/10)

    Breakfast was very good

What could be improved: Soaps provided made my skin feel a bit weird

  • Very Good – Maria from Egypt – July 17, 2025 (8/10)

The hotel is centrally located in Stuttgart, offering comfortable rooms at a good price

What could be improved: The room was quite hot, even with the fan on maximum.
It would be great to have a kettle/ coffee machine in the room.

  • Good for short stay – Richa from Germany – June 28, 2025 (7/10)

The hotel is close to the public transport and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. Fan was provided.

What could be improved: The rooms were not cleaned on time, so I had to request them to clean by 2 pm.
    The bed was uncomfortable.
The elevator goes only till 4th floor but my room was on the 5th floor (though the receptionist did help me to carry the luggage).
There is no light in the bathroom except the light on the mirror so it gets dark inside.

  • Nice stay but can be very noisy – Ramona from United States – May 11, 2025 (8/10)

Great location (very central and close to public transport), warm room, clean, everything you need around

What could be improved: Very noisy in general, people screaming around on the floor/stairs until 2am
Very small room (would be hard to fit on the toilet for someone who is a little bigger as the toilet goes under the sink, would also be hard to sit at the desk)

  • Great for a night stand! – Anzer from Morocco – May 10, 2025 (8/10)

The room was very quiet and clean!

What could be improved: Preferably, one should bring its shower gel and shampoo ..

  • Pleasant – Mikalai from Belarus – May 4, 2025 (6/10)

What could be improved: Too noisy in evenings and early night

  • Good stay, this will be my regular whenever I have to stay in Stuttgart. – Apoorva from India – April 4, 2025 (8/10)

Everything was good, no complaints. Good value for money.

  • Nice room and friendly staff – Ali from Germany – April 4, 2025 (8/10)

The staff were super friendly. The location is amazing, and the room is comfortable. Parking 5 minutes away walking distance which is acceptable. 15 euros per day for parking
