Hotel Description
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel Rega Stuttgart on Ludwigstraße, you immediately get the sense this is a place that knows its neighborhood well. The three-star property sits comfortably in Stuttgart-West, and honestly, the location feels more valuable than what you’d expect from the star rating. I mean, you’re right in the thick of things without being overwhelmed by tourist crowds — it’s that sweet spot locals actually appreciate. The hotel’s position on this tree-lined street offers genuine character that extends well beyond the building itself.
The Stuttgart-West Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Stuttgart-West — you’re close enough to walk to the city center, but you’re also surrounded by authentic German life. The tree-lined streets around the hotel are perfect for evening strolls, and there are some genuinely good cafes and bakeries within a few blocks that most visitors never discover. You know what’s interesting? Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.1), probably because it feels romantic without trying too hard. The neighborhood strikes that rare balance between accessibility and local authenticity.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked exactly as it should. The windows are well-insulated, which matters more than you’d think given that you’re on a fairly busy street. Actually, the soundproofing impressed me because I barely heard any traffic noise at night. The beds are comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space if you’re staying more than just a night or two. Modern amenities blend seamlessly with practical design throughout.
Breakfast and Practical Matters
The buffet breakfast is honestly better than I expected for a three-star place. They’ve got the German breakfast basics covered — good bread, cold cuts, cheese — plus some warm options that change daily. What really sold me was the coffee; it’s actually drinkable, which isn’t always a given at hotels in this price range. There’s also private parking available, and if you’re driving in Stuttgart, you’ll appreciate not having to hunt for street spots in the morning. The combination of thoughtful breakfast offerings and convenient parking makes mornings genuinely stress-free.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests have been rating the location 8.2, and after spending time here, I totally understand why. It’s one of those places where the sum feels greater than its parts — the hotel itself is solid but not spectacular, yet the overall experience works really well. You’re getting genuine value for money in a city where accommodation can get expensive quickly. The staff seems to understand that travelers want practical advice about the area, and they’re happy to point you toward the good stuff that’s not in every guidebook. This thoughtful approach to hospitality makes all the difference.

Good location and value for money. Polite staff. Big rooms. The cancelation policy is flexible.
What could be improved: The carpet had so many grey/black stains everywhere, the kind that can't be cleaned and just needs to be replaced. The cleaning staff did a good job but the carpeted floor and other furniture are quite worn down and need to be renovated.Value for money, good location – Girts from Latvia – August 19, 2023 (8/10)

Breakfast and location are the highlights of the Novum hotel.
What could be improved: Cleanness of the room is good, but the carpet is awful. It was stinky (the whole room has this strange smell coming out from it) and with many stains.
