Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about the Mercure at Stuttgart Airport? It actually feels like a proper hotel, not just another sterile airport crash pad. I mean, when you’re driving down Eichwiesenring in Möhringen, you’re not exactly expecting charm – this whole area is basically business parks and that massive Messe complex. But honestly, the moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this unexpectedly warm vibe that makes you forget you’re essentially sleeping next to a runway.
The thing is, if you’re doing business at the trade fair or catching an early flight, this place just makes sense. I’ve stayed here during both quiet weeks and when the Messe is absolutely crawling with convention crowds, and the staff somehow keeps everything running smoothly either way. The rooms have that clean, unfussy German efficiency thing going on – nothing fancy, but the beds are genuinely comfortable and the soundproofing is better than you’d expect considering how close you are to all that airport action. What I really appreciate is the little stuff: the shower pressure is solid, there’s actually enough outlets near the desk, and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I could mention.
Here’s the local insider bit – if you’re renting a car, the location is honestly perfect for getting anywhere in Stuttgart without dealing with the city center traffic nightmares. You’re literally minutes from the A8, and if you need to hit the airport, well, you can practically walk there. The hotel restaurant is pretty decent too, especially for breakfast when you’re rushing to catch a flight, though I’d skip dinner there and head into Möhringen proper if you want something more interesting. Parking is straightforward and included, which saves you from those ridiculous airport rates. The only real downside? Sometimes you get that subtle airplane hum, but honestly, after the first night you barely notice it, and the convenience factor totally makes up for it. For a solid 4-star spot that gets the job done without any drama, it’s hard to beat – especially with that 8.1 rating that feels about right when you’re actually there.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Stuttgart through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s unique blend of technology and tradition.

Very Good – Yilmaz from Turkey – May 29, 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is in a very good location. The rooms are very clean. We were allowed to enter the room early. The Turkish lady who started working on the day we stayed was very kind and helpful. Everything was great but I have a complaint. We forgot our son's toy in the room. We wanted to go up to the room to check the room before checking out. They didn't let us. They said they checked and there were no toys in the room. They said we could have taken them in our bags. But we were sure it wasn't in our bags. It was a valuable toy for us. Other than that, everything was great. All the staff and everyone at the reception were very good. Also, I bought it with breakfast included but they said it was a mistake and I bought the option without breakfast. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.
