Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson on Hauptstätter Strasse a few times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just works. You know what I mean – nothing flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything’s where it should be and the staff actually seems to care about getting things right.
The location is what really sold me on this place initially. I mean, Stuttgart-Süd isn’t exactly the tourist postcard part of the city, but that’s actually kind of perfect. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Österreichischer Platz U-Bahn station, which connects you to everything – the main shopping district, the opera house, even out to the Mercedes museum if that’s your thing. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: this neighborhood has some seriously good Turkish restaurants and late-night döner spots that the hotel crowd never finds. There’s this little bakery on Kolbstrasse (which is basically right behind the hotel) that does fresh pretzels at 6 AM – saved my life more than once during early business trips.
The rooms themselves are… well, they’re what you’d expect from a decent 4-star Radisson, but with better soundproofing than most places in Stuttgart. That matters because Hauptstätter Strasse can get a bit busy during rush hour, though it quiets down completely by evening. I always ask for a room facing the courtyard side – it’s dead quiet and you get this nice view of the surrounding residential buildings that feels authentically German rather than hotel-generic. The beds are actually comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are properly sized, which is rarer than it should be in European city hotels. Check-in is usually smooth, though I’ve noticed they can get a bit overwhelmed when there are trade fairs happening – Stuttgart gets packed during those times and every decent hotel becomes a madhouse.
What really keeps me coming back, though, is that the whole experience feels… unstressed, if that makes sense. The breakfast room gets good morning light, the lobby doesn’t try too hard to be trendy, and there’s usually parking available in their garage (which is honestly a miracle in Stuttgart). The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but you’ll sleep well, get where you need to go easily, and probably discover that this part of Stuttgart has more character than the guidebooks suggest. Plus, if you’re here on business, you’re actually closer to a lot of the corporate areas than you’d be staying in the old city center, and the S-Bahn connections to the airport are straightforward. It’s just… solid, you know?

Reviews
Wonderful – Pamela from Finland – August 8, 2025 (9/10)
Buzzing location next to Marienplatz, nice starting point for exploring the city without being in the touristy downtown. Bright and cozy superior room with a view towards the quiet green backyard.
What could be improved: Breakfast buffet is laid out in the very narrow restaurant serving counter which creates a bottleneck and means guests need to queue and squeeze past each other to serve themselves. This is especially uncomfortable when travelling alone and finding your table and half finished coffee cup has been cleared by the waiter.Clean, central location, friendly – Johannes from Austria – August 4, 2025 (9/10)
Central location in Stuttgart Süd close to bar and restaurant area and subway, clean and well furnished room. AC and WiFi worked well, friendly staff, efficient checkin and checkout
What could be improved: The hotel is located at a busy street, but with windows closed you don’t hear anything. It is just that you better keep windows closed.Wonderful – Riia from Sweden – August 2, 2025 (9/10)
Perfect stay for a family, friendly customer service

Expected more – Vera from Denmark – July 21, 2025 (8/10)
Good location, comfortable beds, quite big rooms.
What could be improved: Breakfast was a little bit disappointing, not many varieties and no variation from day to day at all. Salt and pepper was not on all tables, and have found dirty coffee cup among the clean once.Very Good – Tatjana from Latvia – July 15, 2025 (8/10)
clean, great location. nice terrace upstairs, great spa & wellness facilities
What could be improved: there was no bar at the restaurant available, open in the evening. They provide a small kiosk with snacks & drinks, access to Restaurant and there are plenty of places nearby.Great for exploring Stuttgart – Bc from Romania – July 1, 2025 (9/10)
Very nice hotel, excellent Stuttgart view from top floors. Excellent breakfast, oustanding car parking, electric vehicle chargers available also. Very close to downtown, like 15-20 minutes walk. Very close to the famous Dinkelacker Brewery and its excellent restaurant which we enjoyed.
Room was clean and neat.Wonderful – Abdulla from Iraq – June 23, 2025 (9/10)

The room was very clean. No noice from other guests. Parking under the hotel and public transport accross the street. Supermarket next to the hotel and restaurants on walking distance. I recommand the Vietnamese restaurant arround the corner. Parking, you get a discount from the hotel, Eur 16,- per day.
What could be improved: Parking is not cheap but it's a good garage.Well located hotel – Carolina from Colombia – June 9, 2025 (9/10)
The hotel is modern, offers a parking garage, is located close to public transportation. Main city center attractions are located at a walking distance. Breakfast offered different options. The hotel is pet friendly. The view from the bead room in 5th floor was beautiful.
What could be improved: Pillow was not very comfortable.
