Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Premier Inn on Teinacher Straße, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Bad Cannstatt, which honestly feels more like a proper Stuttgart neighborhood than the touristy center most visitors stick to. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I ended up loving this place.
The thing about staying here is you’re actually living like a local for a few days. There’s this fantastic bakery just around the corner – I mean, you can smell the fresh pretzels from the hotel entrance in the mornings – and the whole area has this authentic German vibe that the city center sometimes lacks. The S-Bahn connection is ridiculously easy too; you’re maybe a five-minute walk to Bad Cannstatt station, and from there it’s one quick ride to Hauptbahnhof or anywhere else you need to go. The rooms themselves are classic Premier Inn – nothing fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. The beds are actually comfortable (which isn’t always a given with chain hotels), and the bathrooms are small but well-designed. I appreciated that the windows open properly, which might sound weird to mention, but after a day walking around Stuttgart, you really want some fresh air flowing through.
What surprised me most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a fairly busy street. The double-glazed windows do their job well. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no complicated explanations, just friendly staff who clearly know the area and can point you toward decent restaurants. Speaking of food, while the hotel breakfast is fine, you’re honestly better off walking two minutes to that bakery I mentioned or trying one of the traditional Swabian places nearby. The Neckar river is literally right there too, which makes for a nice evening stroll when the weather’s decent. I found myself walking along the water most nights, something I probably wouldn’t have discovered if I’d stayed in the more central areas. Parking was straightforward – they have their own spots, though it fills up during Mercedes-Benz Arena events (learned that one the hard way on a concert night). The whole experience just felt… well, easy, I guess. It’s a solid 3-star that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, in a part of Stuttgart that gives you a real feel for how the city actually works beyond the tourist highlights.

Wonderful – Kuang from Taiwan – August 11, 2025 (9/10)
The hotel has air conditioning, which is perfect for a stay in the summer. Also, while parking is a bit pricey, we were able to park for a few more hours after checking out the next day, making it convenient for us to explore the city. It was a really thoughtful perk.
Short stop in Stuttgart – Michael from United Kingdom – August 5, 2025 (8/10)
Good location for access to U2 tram into Stuttgart.
Beds good, had a wonderful sleep.
Excellent bakery very near. Pretzels were delicious and a good selection of other bakery items.
What could be improved: Receptionist on arrival didn't speak many words in English at all.
No bottled water in the room. But they would give you some if you signed up for the premier inn loyalty card.
View out the window onto the tram lines and the power plant across the river.Very nice place clean and accessible – Gertrude from Sweden – August 5, 2025 (8/10)
It’s near the trains and very clean
What could be improved: NothingPerfect for an overnight stay – Jane from Netherlands – July 26, 2025 (9/10)
Clean and comfortable, a newish hotel.
What could be improved: Near tram line so traffic noise in some rooms. The rooms clean, silence, comfortable. – Mehmet from Turkey – July 23, 2025 (8/10)
Good location, close to the city center. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice.
What could be improved: As soon as you arrive at the hotel, they direct you to the parking lot if you have a car. However, there is a parking lot in front of the hotel, and it's free.Good stay – Ehardt from Germany – June 29, 2025 (8/10)
The location was very good. It is close to a tram station and it is easy to get into the city. The room is a good size. The bathroom is also good with a walk-in shower. The toom also has tea and coffee with a kettle. The parking is also good. €17 is a bit expensive but understandable in the city. Unfortunately, the nice restaurant that was here for lunch and dinner is gone. They have a limited menu for snacks. There is a vending machine also.
What could be improved: The pressure on the shower is terrible. I think it is for water saving, but it is a misty stream instead of nice big drops. The tram also goes by outside most of the rooms and could bother some people. It didn't bother us.Wonderful – Matti from Switzerland – April 25, 2025 (9/10)
Quality is quite high compared to price. Decent breakfast buffet, nothing extraordinary but suits well the needs of most travelers.
What could be improved: Acoustic insulation of rooms is not fantastic and the nearby tram/train line causes noise that is well heard inside of the building.Wonderful – Laura from Germany – April 21, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, right beside U Bahn station. Spotlessly clean, great parking directly underneath the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful
What could be improved: Parking at €17 a night is expensive. Room was quite warmGreat stay for the night and good breakfast – Armin from Netherlands – February 18, 2025 (9/10)
Clean, friendly staff and in a good area
What could be improved: Nothing in particular mWonderful – Veranika from Belarus – February 7, 2025 (9/10)
