Hotel Description

First Impressions

Walking into Premier Inn Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt, you immediately get that reassuring feeling that comes with a well-run three-star hotel. The lobby isn’t trying to be flashy — it’s clean, modern, and efficiently designed with that signature Premier Inn purple branding you’ll recognize if you’ve stayed at their UK properties. What struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing, greeting guests in both German and English without missing a beat. The whole place has this refreshingly straightforward vibe that says “we’re here to give you a solid night’s sleep, not impress you with marble fountains.”

Location & Neighborhood

Bad Cannstatt might not be Stuttgart’s most famous district, but honestly, that works in your favor here. You’re about 15 minutes from the city center by S-Bahn, but the area around Teinacher Straße has this authentic residential feel that most tourists never experience. There’s a decent bakery just down the street where locals grab their morning pretzels, and you’re actually closer to the Mercedes-Benz Museum than you’d be staying downtown. I mean, couples are rating the location 8.6 out of 10, which tells you something — it’s got that sweet spot of being accessible without the tourist crowds and inflated prices.

The Room Experience

The rooms follow Premier Inn’s signature formula, and you know what? Sometimes predictable is exactly what you want. The beds are genuinely comfortable — they use their own Hypnos mattresses that actually live up to the hype. Everything’s compact but thoughtfully laid out, with enough desk space to spread out a map or laptop, and the bathroom has a proper shower with decent water pressure. The soundproofing is better than you’d expect for a three-star property, which matters when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag or recover from exploring Stuttgart’s hills all day.

Breakfast & Practical Details

The breakfast setup here is where Premier Inn Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt really shows its value. They’ve got the full spread — continental options, proper English breakfast items, and a buffet that’s restocked regularly throughout the morning rush. The coffee’s actually decent (not always a given in Germany, despite what people think), and they keep the fresh fruit well-stocked. Parking‘s available right at the hotel, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving in Stuttgart — finding street parking in this city can be a nightmare, and hotel parking eliminates that stress entirely.

Why Guests Love It

What makes this place work is that it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. You’re getting reliable comfort, a genuinely useful location that locals appreciate, and staff who seem to actually care about your stay going smoothly. The 8.2 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s going to give you everything you need for a successful Stuttgart visit. For the price point, especially compared to what you’d pay for similar quality in the city center, it’s honestly hard to argue with the value proposition here.

Reviews

  • Wonderful – Kuang from Taiwan – August 11, 2025 (9/10)

The hotel has air conditioning, which is perfect for a stay in the summer. Also, while parking is a bit pricey, we were able to park for a few more hours after checking out the next day, making it convenient for us to explore the city. It was a really thoughtful perk.

  • Short stop in Stuttgart – Michael from United Kingdom – August 5, 2025 (8/10)

Good location for access to U2 tram into Stuttgart.

Beds good, had a wonderful sleep.

Excellent bakery very near. Pretzels were delicious and a good selection of other bakery items.

What could be improved: Receptionist on arrival didn't speak many words in English at all.

No bottled water in the room. But they would give you some if you signed up for the premier inn loyalty card.

View out the window onto the tram lines and the power plant across the river.

  • Very nice place clean and accessible – Gertrude from Sweden – August 5, 2025 (8/10)

It’s near the trains and very clean

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Perfect for an overnight stay – Jane from Netherlands – July 26, 2025 (9/10)

Clean and comfortable, a newish hotel.

What could be improved: Near tram line so traffic noise in some rooms.

  • The rooms clean, silence, comfortable. – Mehmet from Turkey – July 23, 2025 (8/10)

Good location, close to the city center. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice.

What could be improved: As soon as you arrive at the hotel, they direct you to the parking lot if you have a car. However, there is a parking lot in front of the hotel, and it's free.

  • Good stay – Ehardt from Germany – June 29, 2025 (8/10)

The location was very good. It is close to a tram station and it is easy to get into the city. The room is a good size. The bathroom is also good with a walk-in shower. The toom also has tea and coffee with a kettle. The parking is also good. €17 is a bit expensive but understandable in the city. Unfortunately, the nice restaurant that was here for lunch and dinner is gone. They have a limited menu for snacks. There is a vending machine also.

What could be improved: The pressure on the shower is terrible. I think it is for water saving, but it is a misty stream instead of nice big drops. The tram also goes by outside most of the rooms and could bother some people. It didn't bother us.

  • Wonderful – Matti from Switzerland – April 25, 2025 (9/10)

Quality is quite high compared to price. Decent breakfast buffet, nothing extraordinary but suits well the needs of most travelers.

What could be improved: Acoustic insulation of rooms is not fantastic and the nearby tram/train line causes noise that is well heard inside of the building.

  • Wonderful – Laura from Germany – April 21, 2025 (9/10)

Great location, right beside U Bahn station. Spotlessly clean, great parking directly underneath the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful

What could be improved: Parking at €17 a night is expensive. Room was quite warm

  • Great stay for the night and good breakfast – Armin from Netherlands – February 18, 2025 (9/10)

Clean, friendly staff and in a good area

What could be improved: Nothing in particular m

  • Wonderful – Veranika from Belarus – February 7, 2025 (9/10)

Location is perfect, it takes about 3 minutes to get to transport stop, from which you can easily get to centre.
    Very good breakfasts. Clean rooms.
