Hotel Description

So here’s the thing about the Radisson Blu at Porsche Design Tower – it’s honestly not what you’d expect from a typical Stuttgart hotel experience. I mean, you’re staying inside what’s basically a giant automotive showroom, which sounds weird until you actually walk through the lobby and see these sleek Porsches just casually displayed like art pieces. The whole vibe is very modern and surprisingly calming, not the sterile corporate feel you might worry about.

The location on Leitzstraße is actually pretty smart if you know Stuttgart at all. You’re in the Feuerbach district, which puts you close to the Mercedes-Benz Museum and that whole industrial heritage area, but you’re also just a quick S-Bahn ride from the city center. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – even though you’re near some major roads, the building design blocks out most of the traffic noise. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Stuttgart will tell you is not a given.

The rooms themselves have this clean, minimalist thing going on that actually works. It’s not trying too hard to be “design-y,” if that makes sense. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than half the places I’ve stayed in Germany. You know what really impressed me though? The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well. When I asked about getting to the Wilhelmsplatz area for dinner, the front desk person didn’t just hand me a generic map – they actually explained which route to take depending on the time of day and mentioned a couple local spots I wouldn’t have found otherwise. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming, and they source some ingredients locally, which you notice in the bread quality especially.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the cheapest option in Stuttgart, and if you’re looking for traditional German charm, you might feel a bit disconnected from that here. But if you appreciate good design, want reliable comfort, and don’t mind being slightly outside the tourist center, it’s actually a really thoughtful place to stay. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you consider that everything just… works. No drama, no unpleasant surprises, just a well-run hotel that happens to have some very cool cars in the lobby.

Hotels in Stuttgart offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this engineering metropolis, with easy access to museums, opera houses, and automotive attractions.

Reviews

  • Great room, plenty of underground safe parking. What a pity we were let down by the restaurant manager. – Adrian from United Kingdom – August 9, 2025 (8/10)

Very nice room, great view and very clean

What could be improved: Tried to book in for dinner. Not met with a great approach and directed off the hotel to an outside restaurant. Very indifferent restaurant manager who looked us up and down which suggested we were not the right sort of clientele. Sorry we do not own a Porsche!

  • Exceptional – Saud from Saudi Arabia – August 7, 2025 (10/10)

Thanks for the team. Prepared all arrangements for my honeymoon as requested and very will prepare

  • Very Good – Angela from Bulgaria – August 5, 2025 (8/10)

Nice hotel, great view, good rooms

  • Wonderful weekend in Stuttgart lovely base if you are happy to get the train into centre. Or you could walk through the – Jane from United Kingdom – August 2, 2025 (8/10)

Quirky- Porsche theme. Nice views from high rooms.
    Close to train station.

What could be improved: Couldn’t get a drink in the bar/ roof top restaurant as it was shut for much of the day. Would have been nice to sit there and relax.

  • New and beautiful hotel at the edge of Stuttgart that could improve in housekeeping standards. – Mariana from Netherlands – August 1, 2025 (8/10)

Beautiful rooms in a sleek, new building. Location is great if you're passing by Stuttgart and traveling by car. Beds super comfortable and with fantastic views of the city and surroundings.
food at the restaurant was lovely -middle east mezze- and a welcome change from the typically heavy German menu.
We were traveling with an electric car and were able to charge it at the Porsche station at street level.

What could be improved: Our bathroom wasn't properly clean, with stains (from lotion, even blood) on the walls. We informed reception -even showed photos- but they said they didn't have anyone to clean it during evenings and all they could do was offering another room. It was late and we were tired, so we declined, as we were occupying two adjacent rooms with our children and the change would have meant a whole moving, not worth it for one night. But it was extremely disappointing that they didn't offer any other solution or a kind gesture to compensate for the inconvenience.
It seems German hospitality -and hygiene!- are not up to the international standards one expects from Radisson.

  • Wonderful – Ilija from Netherlands – July 31, 2025 (9/10)

Very nice and clean room. Great bed. View across the wine yard is insane from high floors. Shower was very good as well. High water pressure. Nice Porsche feeling with details.

  • Modern, exceptional staff, great location, super clean rooms and facilities. – Terry from Australia – July 31, 2025 (10/10)

Reception staff like Ali and Shah were exceptional as were many of the other staff. Facilities were brilliant. Cleanliness of room was first class.

What could be improved: Nothing. You're all doing an exceptional job.

    Quirky motor racing theme

What could be improved: No parking available on site so parked a block away
