Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Rioca Stuttgart Posto 4? The location actually works way better than you’d expect. Sure, Zuffenhausen isn’t exactly Stuttgart’s postcard district – I mean, it’s basically where Porsche builds their cars – but that’s exactly why this place feels like such a find. It sits on this quiet residential street (Salzwiesenstraße, if you’re navigating), and honestly, the peace and quiet is something you just don’t get in the city center hotels.
The building itself has this modern, almost industrial vibe that somehow feels perfectly at home in the neighborhood. When I walked in, the lobby had this clean, minimalist thing going on – not sterile, just… uncluttered, you know? The check-in was refreshingly quick, and the staff actually seemed to know the area well enough to give real recommendations, not just the tourist trap stuff. My room was surprisingly spacious for a 4-star place, with these huge windows that let in tons of natural light. The bed was legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually has decent water pressure – small victory, but it matters after a long day.
Here’s the thing about staying in Zuffenhausen – you’re about 20 minutes from Stuttgart’s main attractions by public transport, but you get to experience what feels like a real German neighborhood. There’s this great bakery just down the street where locals actually line up on Saturday mornings, and the S-Bahn connection is solid once you figure out the timing. The hotel’s parking situation is straightforward too, which is honestly a relief if you’re dealing with a rental car in Germany. I stayed during a trade fair week (pro tip: book early during those times because everything fills up), and while downtown was chaos, this area stayed calm. The only minor thing – and I’m really reaching here – is that room service options are limited, but there are enough local restaurants within walking distance that it didn’t matter. The whole experience just felt more authentic than those massive chain hotels downtown, and with a 9 rating, clearly other people are figuring this out too.

What could be improved: Very good hotelGreat choice nearby Porsche Museum – Carolina from Netherlands – August 6, 2025 (9/10)
Super clean, new and comfortable.
What could be improved: The €19 breakfast is expensive for a family with teens. The €19 parking is also high considering that parking on the street is much cheaper.Exceptional – Marin from United Kingdom – August 4, 2025 (10/10)

Conveniently located near the Porsche museum. Everything clean and tidy and adorable.
Can’t ask more and it’s a bang for the buck.
What could be improved: Probably the private parking is priced a little higher with the abundance of affordable street parking nearby.Great! – Lai from Norway – July 28, 2025 (10/10)

Rio in the middle of Stuttgart – Rian from Switzerland – July 23, 2025 (10/10)
I really. liked the cocktails they served at the bar downstairs. 😉 The hotel is Brazilian themed and run by a portugese speaking staff. The staff was very friendly and dog friendly. The room was more than a room. It had cooking facilites, a microwave and a reasonably large fridge.
What could be improved: It was quite hot when we visited. So, the air-conditioning had trouble keeping up with the heat.
