Honestly, when I first walked up to S-AN Daily Room on Gablenberger Hauptstraße, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, the name sounds pretty no-nonsense, right? But you know what, sometimes that’s exactly what you want. This place sits right in Stuttgart-Ost, which is actually one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists somehow miss. You’re basically a ten-minute walk from the city center, but without all the tourist trap chaos. The building itself has that understated German efficiency vibe – clean lines, nothing flashy, but everything just works.

What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to know their stuff about the area. The guy at check-in (and honestly, check-in was refreshingly quick) started rattling off these little gems about where to grab proper Swabian food nearby, not the tourist versions. There’s this bakery around the corner on Ostendstraße that does incredible Laugenbrezeln – the kind that’s still warm at 7 AM and makes you understand why Germans are so particular about their bread. The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward, clean without being sterile, and the beds are… well, they’re German beds, so you know they’re designed for actual sleep, not Instagram photos. I slept like a rock, which after three days of conference meetings was exactly what I needed.

Here’s the thing about this place – it’s got that 8.3 rating for a reason, and it’s not because they’re trying to be something they’re not. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet after about 9 PM (Stuttgart-Ost isn’t exactly party central), so if you’re one of those people who needs absolute silence to sleep, you’ll love it here. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street – typical German city situation – but there’s a small lot nearby that won’t completely destroy your budget. The whole area feels authentically local, you know? You’ll see actual Stuttgarters walking their dogs and heading to work, not crowds of people taking selfies. It’s maybe a fifteen-minute S-Bahn ride to get to the main shopping areas or if you want to check out the Mercedes-Benz Museum (which, let’s be honest, you probably should). S-AN Daily Room isn’t trying to wow you with fancy amenities or flashy decor – it’s just solid, reliable, and genuinely well-located for anyone who wants to experience Stuttgart like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through.

  The room was spacious, and very luminous. The kitchen and the facilities were very good. Very clean.
  
  What could be improved: Check in and check out a bit difficult, you need to call the guy and another guy opens you the box. (not a big deal but can be stressful if you have a train or a bus to catch).
  The kitchen lacks utilities (oil, etc.)
  Nobody cleans the room (we only stayed 2 nights).

  We booked 1 room with balcony (the 5th slide photos on with Blue face picture). It's a big room with big bathroom, TV, and fridge. It's bigger than some room in other hotels. Everything is clean and the cupboard has the safety box inside. There is also communal kitchen for the whole 4 rooms with complete cutlery, microwave, water dispenser, stove, cooking utensils, dishwashing soap, kettle, toaster and free coffee sachets. We loved spending our 4 days in this place.
  
  What could be improved: The WiFi is the only downside. No signal detected in our phones.

  Except for the WiFi the apartment was top notch considering the price. Spotless clean, comfy bed, clean shared kitchen with stove and microwave as well as cutlery so it's possible to cook.
  
  What could be improved: WiFi has decent speeds at 25-75 Mbit, but very frequent disconnects. In the evening we had disconnects roughly every 2 minutes.

  The room was quite spacious and overlooking the city road. The kitchen amenities were sehr gut.
