You know what struck me first about Tasca im Feui? The name alone makes you do a double-take – it’s this interesting mix that somehow captures what Stuttgart-Ost is all about. I mean, here you’ve got this apartment-style setup on Haußmannstraße, which honestly isn’t the prettiest street name to pronounce, but the location actually works really well if you know the area.

The thing is, Stuttgart-Ost has this whole different vibe from the city center – it’s where locals actually live, you know? You’re not fighting tourists for coffee in the morning, and there’s this authentic neighborhood feel that I really appreciated. The apartments themselves are solid 3-star quality, nothing fancy but everything you actually need. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (not those sad hotel attempts with a broken coffee maker), and I was surprised by how quiet it stays despite being on a main street. The windows do their job, which is crucial because German traffic starts early.

What I loved most was how walkable everything is from here. You can easily get to the main train station without the hassle of staying right in the thick of things, and there are these great local spots nearby that you’d never find if you were stuck in some generic hotel district. The grocery stores, the little cafes – it all feels real. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy times, but honestly, that’s Stuttgart for you. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Check-in was straightforward, the staff actually seemed to care about helping rather than just getting through their shift, and the whole place has this comfortable, lived-in quality that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s place. If you’re the type who prefers experiencing a city like locals do rather than being pampered in some sterile hotel bubble, this is your spot.

  Very nice room, light and pleasant. Quiet neighborhood, small kitchen that had what we need, owners are very nice. Not speaking english but we managed. Downstairs theres a restaurant looks nice, we didn’t sit there.
  
  What could be improved: There is no Wifi reception in the room, which was extremely disappointing. There is wifi downstairs but it is mostly empty, close , dark, cold and smells from cigarettes so we didn’t want to sit there.
  We could use some salt. (Bought all our food but salt is a basic that could be nice to have).

  the place is very convenient for spending a few days in stuttgart. not central but close to the u bahn stop, you can get to the mercedez museum or other attractions. for the centre, you can go by metro easily. quiet area, although there is a restaurant below.
  the owners are nice and the checkin is ok.
  the room is clean, equipped with everything, even mini fridge and sink-kitchen to cook small things. a washing machine is available for washing, just ask the owners if you need it. TV with channels if you want.
  I recommend intensifying the wifi network because the signal does not always reach the rooms.maybe put a hair dryer in the rooms, even if they have a washing machine and detergent available, is the only suggestion I make, but it is not a negative note.

  The host was very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent to attend the Volksfest and was also convenient to public transportation. The beds were comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: Parking was difficult but not expensive. We were very fortunate to find a space very close to the rooms; but you had to feed the meter every morning. But for a full day 0800-2200 it was only 10.30 Euros a day. This room was great for younger folks traveling without much luggage. It is two full flights of steps up.
