Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Leuschnerstraße 37, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard residential building in Stuttgart-West. But honestly? These To&To apartments completely surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward – you’re getting a proper one-bedroom apartment, not some cramped studio masquerading as something bigger. The kitchen actually has counter space (you know how rare that is in European city apartments), and the bedroom feels separate enough that you’re not staring at your suitcase while trying to sleep. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in the thick of Stuttgart-West. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional tram rumbling by on Schwabstraße – it’s maybe a three-minute walk – but it’s more of a gentle city hum than anything jarring. The building itself has this solid, old-school German construction thing going on, so you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or creaky floors.

Here’s what I really appreciate about the location – you’re actually living in a neighborhood, not stuck in some sterile hotel district. There’s this fantastic bakery just around the corner on Rotenwaldstraße where locals line up for their morning pretzels (trust me on this one), and you can walk to the Stadtmitte in about fifteen minutes if you cut through the parks. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here – it’s mostly street parking with those typical German time limits – but the whole area is so walkable that I honestly barely used my car after the first day. The Schwabstraße U-Bahn stop connects you pretty seamlessly to the rest of the city, and if you’re into that whole Stuttgart cultural scene, you’re surprisingly close to the Staatsoper and all that.

What strikes me most is how the place manages to feel both practical and welcoming – like someone actually thought about how real people live and travel. The check-in process was smooth (they send you clear instructions beforehand, which saved me from that awkward “where do I even go” moment), and everything from the wifi to the shower pressure just… works. You know what I mean? Sometimes the simplest things make all the difference when you’re trying to settle in somewhere new. I’d definitely come back here, especially since Stuttgart-West has this great mix of local life and easy access to everything else the city offers. It’s one of those places that just makes sense once you’re there.

  Die Wohnung liegt perfekt. Sie ist ruhig und trotzdem zentral gelegen.
  
  What could be improved: Es gab genug Ablagen, aber Aufhänger für Handtücher wären nett gewesen.
  Nicht gefallen ist nicht die richtige Kategorie, dennoch ein kleiner Hinweis für große Leute.
  Im Schlafberreich hat es einen charmanten Stahlbalken, der jedem mit mangelnder Achtsamkeit eine unsanft Erinnerung verpasst.
