Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to To&To Apartments Studio on Leuschnerstraße – the building looks pretty unassuming from the street, tucked into this quiet residential stretch in Stuttgart-West. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t scream for attention.

The studio itself is one of those spaces that just works, if that makes sense. It’s got this clean, minimalist thing going on without feeling cold or sterile – I mean, you’ve got everything you actually need without a bunch of clutter pretending to be luxury. The kitchenette is small but functional (I managed to make proper coffee every morning, which is honestly my main requirement), and the bed was way more comfortable than I expected from a 3-star place. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night – Leuschnerstraße doesn’t get the tram noise that some of the main drags do, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. The whole Stuttgart-West neighborhood has this laid-back vibe that’s sort of refreshing after dealing with the chaos around Hauptbahnhof area.

Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the city center, but honestly, I found myself hanging around the neighborhood more than I planned. There’s this great little bakery just two blocks down that does these incredible pretzels in the morning, and if you head toward Rotebühlplatz (maybe ten minutes on foot), you hit some really solid restaurants that don’t feel touristy at all. The U-Bahn connection at Schwab-/Bebelstraße is super close – I timed it at about seven minutes walking – so getting around Stuttgart is actually easier than staying right downtown where everything’s crowded. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you don’t mind walking a bit. Check-in was smooth, no drama, though they do prefer advance notice if you’re arriving after 8 PM. The place has this perfect rating for a reason – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. If you want boutique hotel fuss and marble bathrooms, look elsewhere. But if you want a clean, comfortable base that lets you experience Stuttgart like you actually live there for a few days? This is your spot.
