Hotel Description
So I stumbled across CLOUD No7 LOFTS on Strombergstraße last spring, and honestly? It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you discovered something before everyone else did. The building itself has this industrial-chic thing going on – you know, exposed brick and steel beams but done in a way that actually feels warm instead of trying too hard. When you walk in, there’s this subtle scent of cedar and something I couldn’t quite place (maybe bergamot?) that immediately makes the whole place feel more like a friend’s really well-designed apartment than a hotel lobby.
What really got me was the location – I mean, Stuttgart-Ost isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos around Königstraße, but honestly, you can still walk to the city center in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling energetic. The neighborhood has this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning and families heading to the little bakery around the corner on Gablenberger Hauptstraße. Speaking of which – that bakery does incredible pretzels, just saying. The loft-style rooms are pretty generous for European standards, with these huge windows that flood everything with light during the day. I actually had to figure out the curtain situation because I’m one of those people who needs it pitch black to sleep, but once I did, the place was surprisingly quiet for being in the city. The kitchen setup is legit too – not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker situation, but actual counter space where you could make a proper meal if you wanted to hit up the local markets.
Here’s the thing though – parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving. There’s street parking, but you know how German cities are about that. I’d probably take the S-Bahn next time, especially since the Ostendplatz station is pretty walkable from there. The staff really knows their stuff about the area too, which you don’t always get at chain places. They pointed me toward this little wine bar on Reinsburgstraße that I never would have found otherwise. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities or anything – there’s no pool or spa situation – but sometimes you just want a place that feels genuine and well-thought-out without all the fuss. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re the type who appreciates good design, likes staying somewhere with actual character, and doesn’t mind being slightly off the beaten tourist path, this place will probably click with you the same way it did for me.

Reviews
Not kid friendly, but a comfortable stay. – Mithun from India – August 6, 2025 (9/10)
Secure, clean and comfortable.
Autonomous check-ins is a plus.
Well equipped kitchen and care has been taken for every cooking need
Proximity to public transport and super markets
What could be improved: Varnished floors are really slippery.
High chances of tripping.
Didn’t really feel like kid friendly floors.
Vending machine onsite would have been a plus that includes water and some refreshmentsWonderful – Susanne from Germany – August 5, 2025 (9/10)
no breakfast
Reasonably good, but could be better – Antonio from Sweden – July 19, 2025 (8/10)
The bed was very comfortable and everything is quite fresh and clean. The shower was a bit clogged and they fixed within hours after my message. Sufficient equipment and comfort, but no AC.
What could be improved: I was planning to arrive late and the online check-in wasn’t working for me, then the on-site check-in after reception hours was confusing. I gave feedback already to the company, as both the process and information given could be simplified. Then, not having AC nor fan, meant sleeping with windows a bit open, but every morning between 5:30 and 6:30 the supply trucks from the supermarket underneath would wake me up with noises. There was no service to replace towels, dirty mugs, coffee or do the bed during my stay, but I guess this was my fault for not reading all the fine print carefully. The design is a matter of taste, but to me it was too simple, not minimalist or industrial loft-ish, just simple, almost cheap, and impersonal.Wonderful – Joao from Netherlands – July 3, 2025 (9/10)
Great location if you are attending an event at the MHP Arena
Very happy and would return here next time in Stuttgart. – Sam from United Kingdom – June 2, 2025 (8/10)
The property was clean, functional and modern. The bathroom is fine and clean- I don’t understand people saying it is small- it is fine for what it is used (toilet/shower/sink)
Igor on reception was great- helpful, professional and down to earth/friendly.
What could be improved: As others have said, it is a warm building and if the temp outside is hot- it was 30deg. When I was there- there is no way to cool down (having the windows open didn’t make any difference and at night it would be noisy and potentially risky to leave them open as there is a flat roof outside). For some people who prefer to be warm this would not be an issue and it is mentioned in enough reviews that I was aware and EVEN though I prefer to be cool I booked it anyway and it was not a big deal for me despite high temps outside, but it is just a point of mention for others.
The pillows were crazy soft, it seems like such a minor thing to mention but there were 4 big pillows and it was so hard to get comfy with any combination 😂Nice professional environment with a bit of remoteness – Anastasia from Greece – April 18, 2025 (8/10)
Cleanliness and hospitality
What could be improved: Somehow lonelyHonnest and confortable stay in Stuttgart. – Vivian from Switzerland – November 2, 2024 (8/10)
I like the nice industrial loft style decoration. It feels new and up to date.
Great choice if visiting for Oktoberfest – William from United States – October 7, 2024 (8/10)
Good location about half way between the Oktoberfest (Carrstatten Volksfest) and city center. Easy 20 minute walk or 16 euro Uber/taxi to either. Rooms seem to be fairly recently renovated, are comfortable, and look nice. Mini fridge and mini cooktop.
What could be improved: Building has no parking, but we found pay parking (12euro/day) on the street close by.Wonderful – Mikko from Finland – September 25, 2024 (9/10)
Spacious, nice area.
What could be improved: Lack of air conditioning.Great apartment in Stuttgart – Tracy from United Kingdom – September 21, 2024 (9/10)
Comfortable room, clean and well equipped
What could be improved: Noisy around 6:30am when there was a delivery to the nearby supermarket.
