You know what caught me off guard about Genesis Apartments? It’s actually one of those places that gets better the longer you stay. I mean, first glance from Gablenberger Hauptstraße and you’re thinking “okay, standard apartment building” – but honestly, that’s kind of the point. This isn’t trying to be some flashy hotel experience, and after spending time there, I really appreciate that approach.

The location in Stuttgart-Ost is actually pretty brilliant if you know the city at all. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos around Königstraße, but the U-Bahn connections are solid – I could get to the main station or Cannstatter Wasen (if you’re there during the beer festival, lucky you) without any hassle. What I really loved was how residential the neighborhood feels. There’s this great little bakery just down the street where locals actually line up on Saturday mornings, and you’ve got proper grocery stores within walking distance. The apartments themselves feel more like, well, apartments than hotel rooms – which sounds obvious but makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. The kitchens are actually functional (I’m talking full-sized fridge, decent counter space), and the living areas don’t feel cramped. Sure, the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but everything’s clean and comfortable. I spent most evenings just cooking dinner and relaxing on the couch, which honestly beat another night of hotel restaurant food.

The check-in process was surprisingly smooth – they’ve got this system worked out where everything’s pretty self-sufficient once you’re settled. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Stuttgart), but they’ll point you toward the best street spots, and it’s not the nightmare you might expect. One thing that really stood out was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re on a main street. Good windows, I guess, or maybe Stuttgart-Ost just settles down earlier than other parts of the city. Either way, I slept better than I have in a lot of fancier places. If you’re looking for room service and a concierge, this obviously isn’t your spot. But if you want a comfortable base that feels less like a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s apartment – with the bonus of actual housekeeping – Genesis Apartments totally delivers on that front.

  It is clean, well located.
  
  What could be improved: Since the bathroom is shared, they should have shampoo and soap in the room.
  But there is no shampoo nor soap. 👎

  The room was clean and it’s not far from the train station . Easy to check in and out for yourself .

  It was very clean room with tv, the bed's matrace was good. The sound from outside is not heard.
