Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Hola Hotel Stuttgart on Marbacher Straße, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Zuffenhausen, which honestly most tourists skip right over on their way to the city center. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I ended up loving this place.

The thing about staying in Zuffenhausen is that you’re actually in the heart of where real Stuttgart happens. I mean, this is Porsche country – the museum and factory are literally a ten-minute walk away, and you’ll hear the engines being tested in the morning if you’re an early riser like me. The hotel itself sits on this quiet residential street where you can actually park without losing your mind (trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold in Stuttgart). The building has that practical German efficiency vibe – nothing fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no nonsense, just keys and directions to the elevator.

What really won me over was how the staff actually knew their neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Mercedes-Benz Arena for a VfB Stuttgart match, the desk clerk didn’t just hand me a generic map – he told me which S-Bahn platform to use and warned me about the crowds after the game. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though I’ll admit the décor won’t win any design awards. But honestly, the beds are solid, the shower pressure is excellent, and there’s this weird charm to how unpretentious everything feels. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop bars here – you’re paying for a good night’s sleep and easy access to parts of Stuttgart that most visitors never see. The breakfast area has this cozy, almost family-run feel, and I loved watching the mix of business travelers heading to the nearby industrial areas and the occasional tourist who’d clearly done their homework about staying somewhere authentic. It’s about a 15-minute S-Bahn ride to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, but the Zuffenhausen station is right there, and trains run frequently. Plus, you’re walking distance from some genuinely good local restaurants that don’t have English menus – which, if you ask me, is always a promising sign.

  The room is newly done and big compared with rest options.
  
  What could be improved: Keep in kind that there is a church next door, the bells are quite an issue for some. It starts at 6 am.
  Doors are quite thin so you cam hear your neighbors and they can hear you.
  Bathroom equipment is oldschool so expect that water will be running and wont stop or shower doors do not close fully.
  For the price its amazing, just manage your expectations

  Less than 15 minutes commute from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and seems to be quite neighbourhood which I enjoyed.

  What could be improved: There is only one key, so you have to arrange for your fellow traveller to come down to open main gate. Ok for one night, but keep in mind there is no fridge

  Close to public transport to get around the city easily. Lots of food options close by too. There were no staff to greet you, but the check-in information was simple and efficient with lockboxes
  
  What could be improved: Hotel is right next to a church with bells that ring every 15 minutes from 6am until 10pm. The rooms have very little soundproofing, so don't expect to sleep in.

  Excellent location with all comodoties near by, awsome bakery for breakfast a few steps away, lot´s of option for lunch or dinner all reachable on foot,. Very quite and charming neighborhood. The hotel is cosy, the rooms are spacious very warm in the cold german weather and most of all Lola is a very friendly and dedicated host always available for any request you might have, don´t expect 5* star hotel but rather kind of being home away.   What could be improved: Honestly couldn´t expect anything else for the value, maybe breakfast availabilty but anyway the options near by are so good that we didn´t mind at all.
