Honestly, Hotel Find surprised me in the best way possible. When I first walked up to Hauptstätterstrasse 53b, I wasn’t expecting much from this quiet corner of Stuttgart-Mitte – I mean, it’s not exactly the flashiest street in the city. But you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The building has this understated charm that feels refreshingly unpretentious, and the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their neighborhood. The guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – he actually sketched out a walking route to the Staatsgalerie that avoids the construction mess on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße (which, if you’ve been to Stuttgart lately, you’ll know is a godsend). The rooms themselves are what I’d call smart comfortable – not trying to be boutique fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. The beds are properly firm, the shower pressure is actually decent, and there’s enough space to unpack without playing Tetris with your luggage. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet at night, even though you’re right in the middle of everything.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where actual Stuttgarters live rather than in some tourist bubble. There’s a fantastic bakery literally two minutes away where locals line up for their morning coffee (the Laugenstange there is incredible, by the way), and you can walk to both the Marktplatz and the main shopping areas without breaking a sweat. The U-Bahn station is close enough to be convenient but far enough that you don’t get the rumble of trains at all hours. I particularly loved that you can grab groceries at the Rewe around the corner and actually prepare a simple meal – the rooms have these little kitchenette setups that are way more useful than you’d expect. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a fancy lobby bar, but that 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s the kind of place that does all the fundamentals really well without any unnecessary fuss. Plus, parking was way easier than I anticipated, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Stuttgart by car will appreciate. It’s the sort of hotel I’d actually book again, and coming from someone who’s stayed in way too many forgettable places, that’s saying something.

  The curtains are indeed letting the light through and since the bed is located right next to the window, I woke up 1,5h earlier than supposed to
