Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Gloria Superior? It’s actually got this unexpectedly cozy vibe for a business hotel stuck on a busy street in Möhringen. I mean, when you first pull up to Sigmaringer Straße – and honestly, good luck pronouncing that if you’re not German – you’re thinking this is going to be one of those soulless corporate places. The building itself is pretty standard-issue modern, nothing fancy, but once you’re inside there’s this warm, lived-in feeling that a lot of three-star places just don’t bother with anymore.
The location is one of those things that sounds boring on paper but actually works really well in practice. Möhringen isn’t exactly Stuttgart’s party district, but that’s kind of the point – you get decent prices and it’s dead quiet at night, which I genuinely appreciated after dealing with the chaos around Königstraße earlier that day. The S-Bahn connection is solid (Möhringen station is maybe a 10-minute walk), so getting into the city center or out to the airport doesn’t require a logistics degree. Plus there’s this little Turkish place around the corner that does incredible döner if you’re tired of hotel breakfast – though honestly, their breakfast spread is better than you’d expect for the price point.
What really sold me on this place was the staff’s attitude. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no upselling nonsense, and the woman at reception actually gave me useful local tips without me having to ask three times. The rooms are… well, they’re hotel rooms, you know? Clean, comfortable beds, decent shower pressure, all the basics covered properly. Nothing Instagram-worthy, but everything works and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, which matters more than fancy pillows when you’re trying to get work done. I did notice some street noise during morning rush hour, but it’s Stuttgart – that’s just part of the deal unless you’re paying twice the price for something in a quieter neighborhood. Overall, it hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re getting honest value rather than being nickel-and-dimed, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need from a place to crash.

Giving the massive heatwave the entire personal was very frendly and helpful – Prodea-opris from Romania – June 29, 2025 (8/10)
Very friendly and helpful personal
What could be improved: There was not even a fan in the room and it was incredibly hot 🥵A very good stay. – Cathy from New Zealand – March 25, 2025 (9/10)
The room was spacious, although the bathroom was very small. The bed was comfortable and all facilities were of good quality. The breakfast was good.
What could be improved: Instructions about parking prior to arrival would have been useful as we dropped off our suitcases and checked in prior to accessing the parking. We therefore had to lift our cases up a flight of stairs, whereas there was a lift from the carpark.
It was very crowded in the breakfast room.Wonderful – Julie from Canada – November 15, 2024 (9/10)
breakfast, room and clean.
What could be improved: n/aThe stay was excellent and exceptional because of extremely great service and friendly staff – Xiang from Denmark – October 17, 2024 (9/10)
The hotel is very close to the U3 and easy to get to anywhere via public transportation, on a small nice street. Room is very nice, clean and quiet.
What could be improved: Limited Free Parking space in the street but luckily the hotel has its own parking space underground costing a bit additional.Very Good – Justyna from Poland – October 7, 2024 (8/10)
Very nice hotel staff.
What could be improved: Dirty carpet in the room, someone must have spilled coffee earlier and left a stain.Very nice hotel and staff, but the small (but nice) room seemed a bit overpriced for the location. – Kevin from Germany – July 27, 2024 (9/10)
Really nice hotel, close to a metro station. Room was small, but was nicely furnished and clean. The staff were very friendly and worked to quickly resolve a billing issue. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just a 1 minute walk from the metro station. I did not try the attached restaurant/beer garden, but it looked very nice.
What could be improved: To me, the price for the room was a little high for a hotel so far out from the city center. It was located near a metro station; however, it was a 2 train (approx 50 min.) ride to get to the center of Stuttgart. The other issue I had was with the self-service check in. I possibly misunderstood the check in instructions sent before I arrive and assumed I had to use the self-service check in. Upon arrival, I did not check to see if the reception was staffed, so I just used the self-service check-in. It required me to pay for the room again (I had prepaid) and I assumed there was nobody at the desk and just paid with the assumption that I would resolve it late. However, the reception was staffed and I brought up the issue with them. They asked for my bank info quickly took care of it (I think – still waiting for any charges to show on my bank statement).Handy location for Euro 2024 travel. – Alan from United Kingdom – July 21, 2024 (7/10)
Handy location. Nice area just outside main Stuttgart area.
What could be improved: A bit tired in places.Wonderful – Nicholas from Switzerland – July 14, 2024 (9/10)
Room was comfortable, friendly staff
What could be improved: Bathroom had no door, it's fine for me and solo rooms but some might appreciate this InfornatiWonderful – Stephen from United Kingdom – June 26, 2024 (9/10)
Great staff ,nice rooms, good location for local amenities and easy access to Stuttgart with station ( trams) 3 mins. away. Prices hard to compare, as it was during high demand, with Euros.
What could be improved: Could not fault it.Wonderful – Shonelle from United Kingdom – June 25, 2024 (9/10)
Great hotel on outskirts of Stuttgart. Subway close by.
