Hotel Description
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Gloria Superior, you immediately get the sense this is a place that knows its guests well. The lobby has that comfortable, lived-in feel of a three-star property that’s been thoughtfully maintained rather than constantly renovated. It’s not flashy, but there’s something reassuring about the warm lighting and the way the staff greets you — like they actually remember faces. You know what struck me most? The number of return guests I noticed during my stay, which honestly makes perfect sense once you experience the place yourself.
The Möhringen Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Möhringen — most tourists overlook this part of Stuttgart, but couples especially seem to get it. The location feedback speaks for itself, and I can see why. You’re far enough from the city center chaos to actually sleep well, but the public transport connections are solid. Sigmaringer Straße isn’t exactly a postcard street, but it’s real Stuttgart living. There’s a grocery store within walking distance, and honestly, having that private parking at the hotel is a game-changer if you’re driving — something you’ll appreciate when you see how tight parking gets in the main city areas.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, functional, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The beds are actually comfortable (I mean, really comfortable, not just hotel-brochure comfortable), and the bathroom, while compact, has good water pressure. What I appreciated was the attention to small details — decent lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and blackout curtains that actually work. It’s not Instagram-worthy, but it’s the kind of space where you can genuinely relax after a day of exploring.
Breakfast Worth Mentioning
The breakfast setup here deserves some credit — they’ve got this continental buffet that covers all the basics plus some thoughtful extras. What impressed me was seeing gluten-free options clearly marked and actually appetizing, not just an afterthought. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, but there’s usually space if you’re willing to eat a bit earlier or later. The coffee’s decent (not amazing, but definitely drinkable), and they keep the buffet well-stocked even toward the end of service hours.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I totally understand why so many people come back. It’s not about fancy amenities or Instagram moments — it’s about consistency and that rare feeling of being genuinely welcomed rather than just processed. The staff seems to actually care about whether you’re comfortable, and there’s something to be said for a place that focuses on doing the basics really well. For the price point and location, especially if you’re planning to explore Stuttgart without needing to be right in the thick of tourist central, Hotel Gloria Superior delivers exactly what it promises. Sometimes that’s more valuable than all the bells and whistles.

Reviews
Giving the massive heatwave the entire personal was very frendly and helpful – Prodea-opris from Romania – June 29, 2025 (8/10)
Very friendly and helpful personal
What could be improved: There was not even a fan in the room and it was incredibly hot 🥵A very good stay. – Cathy from New Zealand – March 25, 2025 (9/10)
The room was spacious, although the bathroom was very small. The bed was comfortable and all facilities were of good quality. The breakfast was good.
What could be improved: Instructions about parking prior to arrival would have been useful as we dropped off our suitcases and checked in prior to accessing the parking. We therefore had to lift our cases up a flight of stairs, whereas there was a lift from the carpark.
It was very crowded in the breakfast room.Wonderful – Julie from Canada – November 15, 2024 (9/10)
breakfast, room and clean.
What could be improved: n/aThe stay was excellent and exceptional because of extremely great service and friendly staff – Xiang from Denmark – October 17, 2024 (9/10)
The hotel is very close to the U3 and easy to get to anywhere via public transportation, on a small nice street. Room is very nice, clean and quiet.
What could be improved: Limited Free Parking space in the street but luckily the hotel has its own parking space underground costing a bit additional.Very Good – Justyna from Poland – October 7, 2024 (8/10)
Very nice hotel staff.
What could be improved: Dirty carpet in the room, someone must have spilled coffee earlier and left a stain.Very nice hotel and staff, but the small (but nice) room seemed a bit overpriced for the location. – Kevin from Germany – July 27, 2024 (9/10)
Really nice hotel, close to a metro station. Room was small, but was nicely furnished and clean. The staff were very friendly and worked to quickly resolve a billing issue. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just a 1 minute walk from the metro station. I did not try the attached restaurant/beer garden, but it looked very nice.
What could be improved: To me, the price for the room was a little high for a hotel so far out from the city center. It was located near a metro station; however, it was a 2 train (approx 50 min.) ride to get to the center of Stuttgart. The other issue I had was with the self-service check in. I possibly misunderstood the check in instructions sent before I arrive and assumed I had to use the self-service check in. Upon arrival, I did not check to see if the reception was staffed, so I just used the self-service check-in. It required me to pay for the room again (I had prepaid) and I assumed there was nobody at the desk and just paid with the assumption that I would resolve it late. However, the reception was staffed and I brought up the issue with them. They asked for my bank info quickly took care of it (I think – still waiting for any charges to show on my bank statement).Handy location for Euro 2024 travel. – Alan from United Kingdom – July 21, 2024 (7/10)
Handy location. Nice area just outside main Stuttgart area.
What could be improved: A bit tired in places.Wonderful – Nicholas from Switzerland – July 14, 2024 (9/10)
Room was comfortable, friendly staff
What could be improved: Bathroom had no door, it's fine for me and solo rooms but some might appreciate this InfornatiWonderful – Stephen from United Kingdom – June 26, 2024 (9/10)
Great staff ,nice rooms, good location for local amenities and easy access to Stuttgart with station ( trams) 3 mins. away. Prices hard to compare, as it was during high demand, with Euros.
What could be improved: Could not fault it.Wonderful – Shonelle from United Kingdom – June 25, 2024 (9/10)
Great hotel on outskirts of Stuttgart. Subway close by.
