Hotel Description

Honestly, Hotel Linde Stuttgart caught me off guard in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to Friesenstraße in Zuffenhausen, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard three-star setup. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming places end up being exactly what you need.

The thing about staying in Zuffenhausen is that you’re actually in a really interesting spot – I mean, this is where Porsche was born, and you can literally walk to the Porsche Museum from here if you’re into that sort of thing. The hotel sits in this residential neighborhood that feels genuinely German, not touristy at all. You’ll hear the S-Bahn trains rolling by (the S6 and S1 lines are super close), but it’s more of a comforting city rhythm than actual noise. The staff at check-in were refreshingly straightforward – no fake smiles or over-the-top enthusiasm, just efficient and helpful in that distinctly German way that I’ve grown to appreciate.

What really won me over were the small touches that showed someone actually cares about this place. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with these heavy curtains that actually block out light (crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag). The breakfast room has this old-school European hotel vibe – nothing fancy, but the coffee is strong and there’s proper bread, not the weird processed stuff you get at chain places. Parking was straightforward, which is honestly a relief in Stuttgart where finding a spot can be a nightmare. The whole place has this lived-in feeling that makes you think locals probably use it for visiting relatives or business trips – it’s got that authentic, no-nonsense quality that’s getting harder to find. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, and the 7.1 rating probably reflects that it’s good but not spectacular. But sometimes you just want a solid base where you can sleep well, grab a decent breakfast, and head out to explore without feeling like you’re paying for a bunch of services you don’t need. If you’re planning to spend your days in central Stuttgart or visiting the Mercedes and Porsche museums, this spot actually makes a lot of sense – you’re connected but not in the thick of tourist chaos.

The man in reception very helpful and kind and all the time ready to help.

  • Very Good – Ádám from Hungary – June 22, 2024 (8/10)

Location easily reachable with the metro. Comfortable beds. Good value for the price.

What could be improved: Bathroom was a bit small, no air conditioner, noisy at night.

  • Good – Nikola from Croatia – April 18, 2024 (7/10)

Clean room with very comfy bed.

What could be improved: The bad thing is that there is no a little fridge in the room. Wi fi is not reliable all the time and some rooms are near the road and train rails so during the day and night is noisy.

  • Price and location is good – Erik from Germany – March 22, 2024 (7/10)

Nice location and not too expensive

What could be improved: Quite loud when someone is walking around in the building

  • Very Good – Daniela from Germany – July 24, 2023 (8/10)

    Close to public transport
Easy to check in with parking place

What could be improved: I missed a mini refrigerator

  • Good – Omar from France – June 26, 2023 (7/10)

What could be improved: The hotel is very clean. However there was too much noise made by other guests and others in the street. I had trouble sleeping. But the price is interesting

  • 1 night stay – David from United Kingdom – June 4, 2023 (6/10)

Staff very friendly on arrival, gave a complimentary drink which was very nice, also gave directions to restaurant, room very clean and comfortable

What could be improved: Bathroom very small indeed, the noise outside at night, there is a tramline right outside which seems to run all night, there is a pub a few doors down and the people outside very noisy til the early hours,I presume its near a police station as there were also at least 5/6 police vehicles throughout the night with sirens passing by

  • Very Good – Martin from Czech Republic – April 8, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: very small bathroom, cold heating the whole stay

  • Good – Elrhazal from Netherlands – January 2, 2025 (7/10)

Spacious rooms and easy self check-in. The location of the hotel is also great to reach city center by both car and public transport.

What could be improved: Rooms insulation is zero. You can hear every sound and feel every degree celsius outside.

  • Staff where friendly, its a good location and price, pity about size of the bathroom and shower. – James from Germany – September 30, 2024 (6/10)

The hotel is in a great location and the staff where very friendly. The bed was comfortable and clean so it was an okay place to stay for one night at a very good price.

What could be improved: WE did not have a TV remote in the room, the room was not properly cleaned as it had old water bottles behind the curtains from and earlier guest. The shower was very small in a very small bathroom.
