Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “LaMiaCasa Family 80qm-Business-Airport-Fair-Uni-Base,” I thought it was going to be one of those generic apartment rentals that tries to be everything to everyone. But you know what? Sometimes those weird, overly descriptive names actually deliver, and this place absolutely does.

The location in Plieningen is actually pretty brilliant if you know Stuttgart at all. I mean, it’s not in the sexy Mitte district where all the tourists flock, but that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re literally a 10-minute drive from the airport – and I actually timed it – which is clutch if you’ve got early flights or you’re in town for the trade fairs. The Messe is super close too, though honestly, during fair season this whole area gets pretty busy, so book early. What I really loved though is how quiet Dinkelstraße gets in the evenings. You’d never guess you’re so close to major transport hubs because the street just… settles down after 8 PM or so.

The 80 square meters thing isn’t just marketing speak either – this place actually feels spacious, especially compared to typical hotel rooms in Stuttgart (which, let’s face it, can be pretty cramped). The setup works whether you’re traveling with family or need space to spread out work stuff. I had my laptop set up at the dining table while my partner was watching TV on the couch, and we weren’t on top of each other. The kitchen is actually functional too – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. There’s a proper stovetop and decent counter space, which came in handy since we grabbed groceries from the Rewe that’s maybe a five-minute walk away. Parking was straightforward, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Stuttgart’s parking situation will appreciate. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times ahead of time since it’s not a traditional hotel setup with a 24/7 front desk.

The whole place has this lived-in feel that’s way more comfortable than sterile hotel vibes – think quality IKEA meets actual home rather than corporate accommodation. The Wi-Fi was solid (tested it on multiple video calls), and the beds were genuinely comfortable, not just “fine for a night or two.” You can hear some aircraft noise occasionally since you’re relatively close to the flight path, but it’s not constant or particularly bothersome unless you’re super sensitive to that kind of thing. What really sealed it for me was the little touches – proper hangers in the closets, decent lighting for working, and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a submarine. If you’re in Stuttgart for business stuff, university visits, or just want a solid base that’s well-connected but not touristy-chaotic, this place hits that sweet spot. Just don’t expect concierge service or a fancy lobby – but honestly, who needs that when everything actually works and you’ve got space to breathe?

  The furniture was new and modern, the apartment was spacious and bright. Everything was thought of. Our son loved the children's room. The kitchen was very useful.   What could be improved: This is the most horrible experiences I’ve had travelling across continents and decades. We booked a two bedroom apartment in over a week before our stay, and had prepaid everything as well as received confirmation from both booking and the host.
  The saga started when we received a sudden cancellation notice 1 day before our arrival. We hurriedly rebook the room with a 30 euro upcharge, and later when we enquired why with the host, he tersely informed us that his apartment was only bookable for 2 days. Yet in both the original booking and the rebooking went through on booking, so this is a problem the website should fix.
  When we arrived we found only one of the two bedrooms in the apartment prepared, and the other one had neither a sheet or pillowcase. We also found that there were only two sets for everything when we are a family of three. We enquired why with the host, and that is when we found out that when we rebooked via pressing the “rebook” button, Booking had, unbeknownst to us, changed our booking to a two person instead of three person stay. But we had communicated both in the prior booking and the checking form that we are a three person family. We tried to remedy this situation with the host, but he was incredibly rude and terse before simply leaving us on read. In the end, we had to book a separate hotel room for our daughter because he would not answer us, and he would not give us extra sheets and towels. In fact, he’s been terse and rude throughout our communication.
  The apartment itself is clean and decent, but the rudeness of the host and the needless meddling on Booking’s part had made this stay the most horrible experience in our entire trip.

  Uns hat diese professionelle,einfache Handhabung total imponiert!Da wir auch viel reisen ,waren wir schlicht weg einfach nur begeistert!Wenn es überall so perfekt laufen würde!! 😄 Es ist einfach ALLES da von Geschirrspüler(und Tabs ) ,über Waschmaschine (auch mit Tabs)genug Geschirr ,Kaffeemaschine mit Kapseln , Tee,Essig Öl…..alles einfach gut organisiert und toll eingerichtet!!!2 WCs ,wunderbar ,da wir 4 Personen waren !Toller Gartenanteil, Garage und sogar eine Flasche Wein zur Begrüßung!!!!Ruhige Lage sogar eine Fitness Matte,tolle Laufstrecken ,….
