I walked it in maybe eight minutes, even with luggage, though there’s decent parking if you’re driving (which, let’s be honest, most business travelers are). The neighborhood’s got that clean, organized German efficiency thing going on – not charming exactly, but you’ll sleep well because it’s genuinely quiet after business hours.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve avoided that generic international hotel feel. The lobby’s got this warm, almost residential vibe with lots of wood and soft lighting that doesn’t scream “corporate expense account.” The rooms are solid – nothing revolutionary, but the beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have those rainfall showers that work properly, not the wimpy ones you sometimes get. There’s a fitness center that’s small but has the basics, and honestly, the breakfast spread was better than I expected. They do this thing with local breads and regional specialties mixed in with the usual international options.

The staff deserves a mention too – they’re genuinely helpful without being overly formal. When I needed directions to a client meeting in nearby Böblingen, the front desk guy didn’t just point me to Google Maps; he actually drew me a little route that avoided construction I wouldn’t have known about. That 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does everything well without any major disappointments.   Location was ideal for a function we were attending. Good parking under hotel (at a cost).
  
  What could be improved: Allocated a single room on arrival, even though we booked a double, however it was eventually sorted (1/2 hour) and we got an upgraded to a king size. In addition only one of the three lifts were in operation and so travel between floors was a nightmare (often taking 15 minutes just to get to the room or the lobby.

  The location was very convenient: right over the top of the station. Lovely breakfast options and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Very limited clothes storage; there was only one drawer in the whole room, and that was under the fridge. We had to live out of our suitcase for our three night stay – I like to put my clothes away when I stay in a hotel. Lifts got very busy towards the end of our stay as the hotel was fuller, and there was no option to walk up or down the stairs.

  The staff at the reception are beyond amazing, helpful, kind and approachable.
  Breakfast was good enough for me; I had something in my stomach before going.
  the wellness facility and the Finnish sauna are the best and the whirlpool was a hot tub but it was ok.
