Hotel Description
First Impressions
Walking into the Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart NeckarPark, you immediately get that “this is going to work out just fine” feeling. It’s one of those four-star properties that doesn’t try too hard — clean lines, modern touches, and staff who actually seem happy to see you. The lobby has this understated business-meets-leisure vibe that works whether you’re here for the nearby Mercedes-Benz Arena or just exploring Stuttgart.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re in Bad Cannstatt, which honestly feels more authentic than staying right in the city center. The NeckarPark area is where locals actually hang out, especially when there’s something happening at the arena or the stadium. You can walk to the Neckar River in about ten minutes, and there’s this whole network of parks and walking paths that most tourists never discover. The public transport connections are solid too, so getting into central Stuttgart takes maybe 15 minutes on the S-Bahn.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from Hilton Garden Inn — functional but comfortable, with that signature bedding that’s somehow always perfectly firm. What surprised me was how quiet it was, considering you’re pretty close to major venues. The work desk actually works if you need to get things done, and the bathroom has decent water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in Germany sometimes). Nothing fancy, but everything works the way it should.
Breakfast Worth Getting Up For
I’ll be honest — hotel breakfasts can be pretty disappointing, but this one actually delivers. The buffet setup covers all the bases with both German and international options, plus they’ve got vegetarian and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The coffee is proper strong, and there’s this whole section of local breads and cold cuts that feels authentically regional. I mean, you’re not going to confuse it with a boutique hotel spread, but it’ll definitely fuel your day properly.
Why Guests Love It
What really stands out is how this place just works for different types of travelers. Business folks appreciate the reliable wifi and the fact that you can actually get work done in the lobby areas. Couples seem to love the location — apparently they rate it super highly, which makes sense when you consider all the riverside walks and the easy access to Stuttgart’s cultural spots. There’s parking available, which is honestly a relief in this part of Germany where finding a spot can be a nightmare. It’s not trying to be the most Instagram-worthy hotel in town, but sometimes you just want a place that handles the basics really well while putting you somewhere interesting.
Early hotels booking in Stuttgart requires advance planning during peak exhibition seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s cutting-edge automotive innovations and cultural performances.

comfortable bed.
Clean room.
What could be improved: No free parking for the guests
No coffee machine which is the standard with hotels these days, but just a water kettle to boil water.Phenomenal location if one is going to Oktoberfest in Stuttgart. – Daniel from United States – October 31, 2024 (9/10)
We went for the Octoberfest and the hotel was a 5 minute walk to the fairgrounds, which is why we were here. Didn't see much of the city itself, but for our purposes the location was great. The breakfast was plentiful and had a great selection of both hot and cold food.
What could be improved: The safe wasn't operating. The room was very nice for an overnight stay. The location was perfectly adjacent to the arena. – Wright from United States – October 7, 2024 (8/10)
Check in and check out was very convenient and the staff was friendly, fast and efficient.
Wonderful – Omar from United States – August 29, 2024 (9/10)
Very helpful staff, very convenient parking and a great breakfast. The rooms were particularly spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a less crowded part of town so parking on the street is easy but it also has a very nice garage underneath
What could be improved: The hallway carpeting could be a bit cleaner, they were stains and some odors and some of the hallwaysVery Good – Ykul from Netherlands – August 27, 2024 (8/10)
We stayed for the Mercedes museum, so it worked well for us, however a bit away from the city center.
Room was nice, and breakfast was rich and of good quality.
