You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from another Holiday Inn when I first pulled up to this place on Leitzstraße, but the niu Form actually surprised me. It’s tucked away in Feuerbach – which, honestly, isn’t the most glamorous part of Stuttgart – but that turned out to be kind of perfect. You’re far enough from the tourist madness in Mitte to get some peace, but close enough that you can hop on the S-Bahn and be downtown in about 15 minutes.

The whole “niu” concept is basically Holiday Inn trying to appeal to younger travelers, and I mean, it works. The lobby has this industrial-chic thing going on with exposed concrete and these funky light fixtures that actually look pretty cool. Check-in was smooth – no fuss, just efficient German hospitality at its finest. My room was compact but smartly designed, sort of like staying in a really well-thought-out studio apartment. The bed was comfortable enough, though the pillows were a bit firm for my taste (you might want to ask for extras if you’re a soft pillow person like me). What I really appreciated was the decent-sized desk – if you’re traveling for work, you’ll actually have space to spread out your laptop without feeling cramped.

Parking was surprisingly painless, which anyone who’s driven in Stuttgart will tell you is basically a miracle. There’s an underground garage that costs extra, but honestly, it’s worth it for the peace of mind. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet – mostly residential with a few local restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. I grabbed dinner one night at this Turkish place around the corner that the front desk recommended, and it was genuinely good. The hotel’s breakfast was solid too – nothing fancy, but fresh bread, good coffee, and enough variety to fuel you for a day of exploring. One small thing that bugged me was the shower pressure, which was just okay, but the bathroom was clean and modern. Overall, for a 3-star place, the niu Form punches above its weight. It’s got character without trying too hard, and the 8.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night there.

  New hotel, reasonably priced. Super friendly staff. The hotel breakfast was excellent and there were even gluten free options (I was super happy about this as it’s not often they are provided in places) The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to travel in to the city centre on the tram.
