The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood – when I asked about finding a decent place for dinner that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy immediately started talking about this little Swabian place around the corner that serves spätzle that’ll ruin you for anywhere else.

Parking was surprisingly painless, which if you’ve ever driven in Stuttgart, you’ll understand is basically a miracle. The whole check-in process was smooth without being overly formal – it’s that sweet spot where they’re professional but you don’t feel like you’re interrupting their day by existing. I stayed there during what I later learned was a pretty busy conference season, but the place never felt hectic or overwhelmed.
