Hotel Description

First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel Rega Stuttgart on Ludwigstraße, you get that immediate sense this place knows what it’s doing. The building has that classic German efficiency vibe — nothing flashy, but everything looks properly maintained and welcoming. I mean, it’s a three-star property, so you’re not expecting marble lobbies or anything, but there’s something reassuring about the straightforward approach here. The entrance feels inviting without trying too hard, and honestly, that sets the tone for the whole experience.

Location & Neighborhood

Stuttgart-West is actually one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists sometimes overlook — which works in your favor here. You’re on Ludwigstraße, which puts you right in the mix of real Stuttgart life without being stuck in some sterile hotel district. The area has that lived-in feel with cafes, small shops, and tree-lined streets that make you want to wander around. What really struck me is how couples seem to gravitate toward this spot — they consistently rate the location highly, and I get why. It’s got that perfect balance of being central enough to reach everything but quiet enough to actually relax.

The Room Experience

The rooms at Hotel Rega Stuttgart are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple.” You won’t find cutting-edge design or Instagram-worthy details, but everything works exactly as it should. The beds are comfortable (which honestly matters more than fancy pillows), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathrooms are clean and functional — again, nothing revolutionary, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want after a long day exploring the city. The windows actually open properly, which is surprisingly refreshing in an age of sealed hotel rooms.

Breakfast & Practical Perks

The buffet breakfast here is one of those pleasant surprises that makes your morning routine actually enjoyable. It’s not trying to be some elaborate spread, but they’ve got the essentials covered well — decent coffee, fresh bread, and enough variety to keep you satisfied. What I really appreciated was having private parking available right at the hotel. If you’ve ever tried to navigate Stuttgart’s parking situation, you’ll understand why this is such a relief. It’s one of those practical touches that saves you both time and stress, especially if you’re planning day trips around the region.

Why Guests Love It

Hotel Rega Stuttgart works because it focuses on getting the fundamentals right rather than chasing trends. Recent guests consistently praise the location, and when you’re there, it becomes obvious why — you’re genuinely well-positioned to explore both the city center and the more authentic neighborhoods. The staff seems to understand that travelers want reliability and helpful service without unnecessary fuss. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in quickly, use it as your base for exploring Stuttgart, and actually feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than just another generic hotel room.

Reviews

  • Very Good – Duplantier from United States – March 5, 2024 (8/10)

The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good.

What could be improved: Unfortunately the elevator was not functioning and my room was on the 5th floor.

  • Good location and price but dated rooms – Rind from France – October 3, 2023 (6/10)

Good location and value for money. Polite staff. Big rooms. The cancelation policy is flexible.

What could be improved: The carpet had so many grey/black stains everywhere, the kind that can't be cleaned and just needs to be replaced. The cleaning staff did a good job but the carpeted floor and other furniture are quite worn down and need to be renovated.

  • Value for money, good location – Girts from Latvia – August 19, 2023 (8/10)

Good place, very helpful and nice staff

What could be improved: No AC in the room, a little bit worn out

  • As expected from a hotel – Nazma from United Kingdom – August 13, 2023 (8/10)

Clean and spacious hotel rooms. Good bathroom

What could be improved: Location is a bit out from town centre. Tops floor where we had triple rooms didn’t have any lift service.

  • Very Good – Anthony from Australia – April 7, 2023 (8/10)

Good location. Comfy bed. Good breakfast.

What could be improved: A bit unimposing to look at. Looked like a block of flats.

  • very pleased – Otilia from Romania – February 6, 2023 (8/10)

    all mention before

What could be improved: there were some problems at bathtube, but I am sure they will be fixed

  • Very Good – Djordje from Serbia – February 2, 2023 (8/10)

Breakfast and location are the highlights of the Novum hotel.

What could be improved: Cleanness of the room is good, but the carpet is awful. It was stinky (the whole room has this strange smell coming out from it) and with many stains.
