Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked up to the Ruby Hanna on Sophienstraße, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street’s pretty unassuming, tucked right in Stuttgart-Mitte where you get this interesting mix of business types rushing to meetings and locals just going about their day. But stepping inside? It’s like someone took all the sterile corporate vibes you’d expect from a 4-star place and just… didn’t do that. The lobby has this warm, almost residential feeling – I mean, it’s clearly designed, but in a way that actually makes sense rather than trying to impress you with marble everything.
What really got me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Stuttgart, you know? When I asked about getting to the Staatsgalerie (which is honestly a pretty easy walk from here), the guy at the front desk didn’t just give me directions – he mentioned that Tuesday evenings are way less crowded and suggested this little café on Urbanstraße that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are surprisingly quiet considering you’re basically in the heart of the city center. I was expecting street noise, especially since Sophienstraße connects to some pretty busy areas, but the windows actually do their job. The design’s got this sort of modern-meets-cozy thing going on – clean lines but with enough personality that it doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping in a showroom. The bed was legitimately comfortable too, which shouldn’t be noteworthy but, well, you’ve probably stayed in places where it definitely was an issue.
Here’s the thing that really sells me on this place though – it just works practically. Check-in was smooth (no standing around while they “find” your reservation), the WiFi actually functions like it’s 2024, and when I needed to extend my parking because I got caught up exploring the Markthalle, they sorted it out without making it feel like I was asking for a kidney. The location’s pretty perfect if you want to actually experience Stuttgart rather than just pass through it. You’re close enough to walk to Schlossplatz when you want that touristy cathedral-and-gardens experience, but you’re also near enough to the more interesting neighborhood spots that you can grab dinner somewhere locals actually eat. I noticed a lot of business travelers staying here, but it never felt corporate-stuffy – more like everyone just appreciated having a place that understood what people actually need from a hotel stay.

What could be improved: –Wow! Ruby Hanna has blown us away… – Chloe from United Kingdom – August 10, 2025 (10/10)
Our stay exceeded our expectations, with so much to offer that we have never seen else where ( you can rent a guitar and bring to your room, use of a speaker or amp, free drink voucher, quirky personality and features which gave this hotel a really good feel), even the automatic doors in the corridors which made it much easier for us it all our luggage. The Ruby Hannah hotel has so much to offer! The general expectations, ie. Cleanliness, comfort, noise, was perfect, despite the use of guitars and speakers in rooms we couldn’t hear any noise. The bed was very comfortable, with 2 duvets provided and everything was very clean. The shower ( see through but with a wraparound curtain on the bedroom side) was a quirky feature we haven’t seen elsewhere too, and lots of soaps and washes were provided. All staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming too. We couldn’t fault our stay here, we just wish we had longer!
What could be improved: This was an amazing stay! The only slight issue we had was being unable to use the TV in our room as it was set to one language and there were no streaming options for our own use, but this was only a minor issue and did not fault our stay. Just something for future guests to be aware ofExceptional – Gabrielle from United Kingdom – August 8, 2025 (10/10)

Very nice stay in Stuttgart – Barbara from Germany – August 4, 2025 (10/10)
I love all the Ruby hotels. Therefore nothing different here in Stuttgart at the Ruby Hanna. I love their set up, the rooms, the breakfast, the location, and the staff was very friendly as well. I will always go back to a Ruby Hotel if there is one in the city I want to visit.
