You know what struck me first about Sophie’s Apartment? The entrance situation is actually kind of clever once you figure it out – you enter through Sophienstrasse but the official address says Marienstraße 28, which honestly confused me for about five minutes until I realized it’s just how these old Stuttgart buildings work. The elevator takes you right up to the 5th floor, and I’ll be honest, I was grateful for that after lugging my suitcase through the city center.

The location is what really makes this place shine though. You’re smack in Stuttgart-Mitte, which means you can literally walk to pretty much everything that matters. I mean, the Königstraße shopping district is right there, and if you’re into the whole cultural scene, you’ve got theaters and museums within easy walking distance. What I didn’t expect was how quiet it actually gets at night – sure, you’re in the heart of the city, but the way the building sits, you don’t get hammered with street noise like you might think. The neighborhood has this nice mix of locals going about their business and tourists who actually know what they’re doing, if that makes sense.

The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I personally love. It’s got that authentic European vibe without trying too hard – you know how some places feel like they’re performing being “charming”? This isn’t that. The 8.2 rating honestly feels about right; it’s solidly good without being flashy. The space works well for what it is, and while it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, everything functions properly and the setup makes sense. I stayed during a busy conference week in Stuttgart and found it refreshingly straightforward to deal with – no complicated check-in drama or weird house rules that don’t make sense. Plus, and this might sound minor but it matters when you’re traveling, the building’s elevator is reliable and the whole setup just… works. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to explore a city without dealing with accommodation headaches.

  Perfect location, approx 400 meters from the U-ban. 100 meters to a Parking-house (open not closed). Very nice beers and food at the brau-hause, situated on the bottom floor, the apparment is on the 5:th floor.

  Location was fantastic. Quiet apartment, which we didn't expect in a busy part of town.
  
  What could be improved: Lack of communication for check-in. We provided our estimated time and per the booking were to receive instructions. No instructions were provided. We finally found someone to help us in the restaurant on the ground floor.

  Convent location for centre of town and lots of eatery including the nice pub next door. Car park is close by for 20 euros a day.
  
  What could be improved: Beds and pillows are too soft and small, no living space, kitchen is tiny with a fold out table for 2, lift broke down on check out so we had to carry luggage down 5 flight of stairs. Check in information isn’t clear although landlord came reasonably quickly once called. Facilities limited.

  Sehr gute zentrale Lage, man ist schnell in der Stadt. Bäcker und Geschäfte sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Es gab keinen Esstisch, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Kleiner Klapptisch in der Küche ist vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist sauber und es gibt alles was man braucht.
