You know what caught me off guard about the Arthotel ANA Neotel? It’s actually got personality – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you first pull up to Lautlinger Weg (which, honestly, took me two tries to pronounce correctly), you’re not expecting much from what looks like a pretty standard business district setup in Möhringen. But step inside and there’s this whole art-focused vibe that feels deliberate without being pretentious. The lobby has rotating local exhibitions, and I spent a good ten minutes just wandering around looking at pieces I’d never see in a typical chain hotel.

The location thing is interesting – Stuttgart locals will tell you Möhringen isn’t exactly the tourist heart of the city, but that’s actually what I ended up loving about it. You’re about 15 minutes from the main train station, which sounds inconvenient until you realize you’re also walking distance to the SI-Centrum (great for late-night entertainment if that’s your thing) and surprisingly close to some solid local restaurants that tourists never find. The U-Bahn connection is solid too, though fair warning – if you’re planning to explore the old town daily, factor in that commute time. My room faced the courtyard side, which meant blissfully quiet nights, though I heard from other guests that the street-facing rooms can pick up some traffic noise during morning rush hour.

What really sold me was the attention to small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The shower pressure was excellent – and I mean genuinely excellent, not just “better than expected” excellent. The bed was firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with marshmallows all night. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no upselling or complicated explanations about amenities I’d never use. The staff seemed to actually know Stuttgart well too, not just the obvious tourist spots – when I asked about where to grab a proper Swabian breakfast, I got directions to a place that clearly wasn’t from any standard recommendation list. Is it perfect? Well, the Wi-Fi could be stronger if you’re planning to work from your room, and the elevator makes this quirky humming sound that you either find charming or mildly annoying depending on your mood. But honestly, for a 4-star place with a 7.7 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises while adding just enough character to feel like you discovered something rather than just booked something.

  Nice room and partially refitted new bathroom. Fridge was useful

  Asked for chairs for balcony but didn't materialise so asked again and nice girl did find some old ones for us. Curtains have holes in.

  Easy access to downtown with Ubahn. It takes less than 20 minutes. Nice restaurants near by in Möhringen and in Vaihingen. From STR airport it is also only 15 minutes ride to closest Ubahn station.

  This hotel is convenient to the city center. The service of the housekeeping lady is serious and enthusiastic, and the room is neat and clean. When we checked out, the elevator was broken and could not operate. A tall and handsome guy at the front desk helped us move the big box down from the 4th floor. We were very touched and thanked him very much.

  Nice sized room Swedish styled unreturned comfy mattress. Large room with a balcony ours overlooked the parking which was fine. Front desk very nice as we had a late check in. Complimentary bottles water waiting in the room. Wonderful breakfast buffet in am including fresh breads bagels and lox salmon. Multiple fresh fruits yogurts cereals and many meats and of course eggs. Nice coffee bar . Our room did not have coffee although some rooms do have them available. 24/7 coffee tea hot chocolate at front desk. Small food stand concession at front desk for necessities. All rooms had a very nice toiletries basket including toothbrush and toothpaste nail files. Train stop 1 block from hotel for ease of access to downtown Stuttgart.
